I answered, the guy said he's from Xcel Energy and is offering a discount on your summer bill if you have central air conditioning.

The number doesn't leave messages or any sort of business etiquette. Normally Xcel will leave a message with a number to call back.

I have been getting calls from this number and there is no message left?

I get a call from this everyday. sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't. When I answer it just hangs up. Starting to piss me off.

I've been receiving calls from this number almost everyday for the past 3 weeks.  Every time I answer it hangs up.  When I miss the call, no message is left.

I've been receiving a call every day from this number, hangs up immediately.  Anything we can do about this, like send them bad tasting food or something?

They called last night saying they were from XCel Energy and kept asking for information to put me on their list to have a device put on the house to save on central air conditioning.  I told them I would not have anything approved without my husband, so they would have to call back after a certain time that night, but they never did when they said they would.  They called again this morning and did not leave a message.  This is not the time when my husband is home.  We rent this house, so approval has to go through landlord, but they still keep insisting on this.

I just got a call from 866-526-1909 on my cell and they didn't leave a message.

I got a call from this too, no message left. I googled it and got this page and another one. The other page had a person recommend this to get rid of the nasty repeat calls:

"Xcel Energy Savers Switch. Call it back and there is an automated selection to remove you from the call list."

Thanks for the information, folks.  I returned the call and found a courteous set of messages recorded by a human being.  (I don't think this is the power company itself doing the calling; the message said the call had been placed "on behalf of" Xcel Energy.)

got the call, missed the call. no caller id name beyond TOLL FREE so i appreciate everyone else outing this company and esp appreciate the info about calling them back and getting put on their do no call list.

I called it back and it is xcel energy...we don't HAVE an air conditioner...I send it back to them each time they send us an offer for the 'energy saver' in the U S Mail....
They are being bought by someone else....wish is were one of the new renewable energy companies who is buying them!

xcel energy savers switch garbage.  call the number back and hit 1 and you can be removed from the call list.  it forwards you to a voicemail box that's full...  morons...

They have repeatedly called and simply hung up whenever i answer, and if i don't answer, leave no message. I called back, and it is, indeed, a telemarketing company calling on behalf of xcel energy and their saver switch program. as was stated, you can press 1 and leave a message where you speak (yes, speak, not dial...stupid, huh? wonderful automation...) your phone number and name and they claim they will remove your name and number from their list within 24 hours. We'll see if that holds true. When I called, the voicemail box was not full anymore.

I get a call from this number every day, sometimes twice.  I don't answer it and they never leave a message.  If they can't leave a message telling me who they are and what they want, I'm not about to call them back.  I'm sure it's some kind of a scam.
