- Kathleen| 2 repliesNo, but they charged my debit card yesterday and I don't know what for. The charge reads 'Buyers Life' but I don't recall ever agreeing to any charges for whatever this is. If you call you can't get a person on the phone. They only offer to give you a full refund or to send out a new packet of information ???? Any ideas?
- Phil| 2 repliesMD Buyers Golf 1-866-526-2115 charged my credit card 1/23/09 for $69.00 without an order. I called this number with the same response as the above comment.
- carmos| 2 repliesI have a $69 charge and a bounce charge of $25 and i never ordered anything. This phone number appears on my statement, but when you call it you can't get a live body. HELP!!!!!!!!!
- Della replies to Phil| 1 replyThe same for me. Charged $69.00 do not know what for and called and just a recording try to cancel and said can not read the numbers typed in, crazy.
- SUE IN FLORIDA replies to carmos| 1 replyThe same has happened to me Feb 5th. No way to get them. Has anyone gone to their bank to fight this?
- MBCTWEETIEI notified my bank via email. I just ordered a book on line on the 11th of Feb. from Hotbooksale.com. And on the 12th I got the charge of 69.00.
Anybody else go to Hotbooksale.com? I also registered for discounts on that site for Smartsavingscenter. Anybody else do that? - sherrykab0425I just looked at my debit card statement and there was a charge for $69.00 that said LE Buyers Life 866-526-2115. I'm not sure what it is for. Have any of you done one of those online surveys where they offer you a reward for trying out several companies offers or products? For instance, you get a $500 Visa gift card for completing 2 offers on the silver page, 2 on the gold page, and 4 on the platinum page. On each page you choose from a list of offers to try and then you can check your gift status and it will say "reported" if you bought a certain product. Or have any of you bought magazines from Publications Maxx or Magazine Burst? I am wondering if this charge is some how related to participating in that survey, for which I never received my $500 Visa Gift Card, by the way. And, through that survey is where I ordered from Magazine Burst/Publications Maxx and they charged me like $89.00 and I never received the first magazine.
- sparkie1235| 2 repliesWas on a credit card that we never use what is MD Buyers golf. The same charge for $69. Currently contesting it with the credit card company
- Michele replies to sparkie1235| 1 replyWe also had a $69 charge from MD Buyers Golf. We are disputing with our credit card company. No idea who they are or how they got our credit card number.
- Mr Sabyt replies to MicheleMine came from LE BUYERS LIFE, but the same phone number and the same 69 dollar charge, and the same recording. Mine was charged on the 18th. I've filed a fraud claim with the bank, and a police report.
- JD replies to Kathleen| 1 replyI just got my credit card bill charging me $69.00 on 2-28 from this same company. I did not order anything. I called and could not get a live person either, but they did give me a confirmation # for cancelling, don't know if it will work, but it had better. Who are they???
- Ms HeMy husband got charged on Feb 10 on his credit card for the same amount us$69,by MD Buyers Golf 8665262115 CA. We don't know this company and never ordered anything. Have no idea how they get the credit card number. We reported to the credit card company. This must be a fraud.
- PeteSame deal for me...MD Buyers golf effective 2/24 ... This has happened before, like last year about this time. That got taken care of by the credit card company.
I remember similar discussions on Google last year, and Medicus Golf got credit for all of it, but denied it. As I recall, calls to that toll free number were also redirected to an unidentified 'Customer Service'(?) center, and after an automated discussion refunds were reportedly made without further ado.
I just hung up from going that route, jumped through the automated hoops up to the last question, which was a choice of one of three events which would supposedly validate my call: my account number, my credit card number, or my phone number. Assuming my phone number to be the least damaging answer, I gave it. Then I was asked to which date was referring, and given two choices. Having no idea what significance either of them were, I just chose the first one.
Either I was 'right', or it made no difference, but I was then given a confirmation number and told my refund would be deposited into my account. Didn't say when, so I hope that will also be a pleasant surprise. I intend to also speak to my bank/credit card company tomorrow. But... I hope I'll just be mildly amused if it happens a third time next year. - DottieI also was charged this $69. from LE BUYERS LIFE. I did not buy anything and this charged also caused $120. in charges from my bank. If anybody finds out who they are, although I was refunded the $69.00 i expect them to refund the $120.00 they cost me as well. I am also writing a letter to the Attorney General and recommend you all do the same. Maybe we can recoup some or all of our losses.
- DrummerDadI never received a phone call, but I was charged $69.00 on my credit card in January 2009. I did not buy anything fro this company, person? I called the number and could not speack to a live person. I cancelled a transaction from 2 dates last year, not knowing what they were for. I contacted my credit card company and they are investigating. I will send this to them to help in the investigation.
- barbthis is a big fraud never even heard of le buyers life untill i had a charge to my account for $69.00 contacted my bank and got no answer so they cleared my purchase,of what i have no clue! called their phone number and got a got a confirmation #,but the money has still not been returned to my account, makes you wonder how the government allows these places to defraud us, and why there are no restrictions on this type of scam!i never spoke to any one on the phone it just showed up as a charge to my debit account
- Don in Chicago replies to SUE IN FLORIDAMe too. On 2/20 I have an unauthorized charge on my account from Buyers Golf.
- BlitsLike everyone else on this page, found the $69.00 charge from "MD Buyers Golf," mine on my credit card bill this month. No call, just a charge and transaction date. Credit card company says 866-526-2115 belongs to a direct marketing company that represents a number of companies, including some diet-related companies. Promised to place it in the "disputed charge" process and advise me, as I requested, if it is found to be a legitimate charge that I have just forgotten.
