I have received two calls from this company claiming to be "National Delivery Express". They were calling for a family member and wanted to verify her address and phone number. All the details sound similar except the first time they said a package, the second time they claim it's a refund check. I don't even live in the same state as the family member so I'm not sure how they're getting MY info....

Based on what you have just said, this looks like a collection agency phishing for information. First they claim to have a "package", then call back and claim they have a "refund check?" Uh, Uh!

Something is DEFINITELY rotten in Colorado.....

The 303-753-0888 number "appears" to belong to a UPS Store in Denver, CO:

Many CA's use UPS Post Offfice Boxes to set up shop. This makes me suspicious, because CACV (Collect America) operates out of Denver, too:

Ask them point blank the next they call if they are working for a collection agency. If they refuse to answer or hang up, this may very well be CACV (or one of their "foot soldiers"

Thanks for that response! I did call the 303 number back, UPS Store, had no idea why their number would show up on my caller ID.
The family member lives in Denver, so that would make sense about the collection agency. If I actually ever talk to these people again I'll ask them what you suggested.

I received a phone message from Brenda from "National Express Delivery, a division of UPS" on June 23, 2008, about a delivery to Christopher Parkhurst, which was supposed to be delivered last week, coming from UCLA Medical Center.  The tracking number is 44510.  She wanted me to call 866-529-7819 to find out a good time and where to deliver the package.  I checked UPS tracking for that number, which came up as an invalid number.  I called the telephone number, and it was completely computerized, asking my name and tracking number, then telling me all assistants were busy, and preparing to ask further questions.  I hung up at that point.

They contacted my work to tell them that i had a delivery of flowers and left the message with the front desk for me to call them back for a delivery location and time. I contacted them back and got the automated message machine asking for a tracking number and telling me all operators were busy.  Somone from an unknown number called back claiming to be the delivery guy and asking where to drop the package off at.  He claimed to have had my old address that i have't lived at for almost 2 years.  

Totally a scam. Just be careful what information you give them, hang up on them if you want to, and ask a lot of questions like I did, because eventually, the guy got flustered and stopped talking.

I received a call today from my wifes old place of business stating that someone from National Express Delivery had tried to deliver a package but that no one was home. The number that they left to call back was 1-866-796-3942. I called it back and it was that automated lady that everyone else has been getting, asking for your name and a tracking number. I got on line to check them out and I'm glad I did cause here I am. My wife has not worked for that company in five years so something fishy is definately going on.

I got a call at work from National Express Delivery saying that someone had ordered me a gift from Macy's. They were trying to deliver it and gave me 2 old addresses and wanted my current one. I gave them an old work address because something seemed weird. The lady gave me a weird tracking number and said that I should be able to use it online. The only problem is they do not have a website! It sounds like a phishing scam to me. When I called the 866-233-4368 number that she left me with, I got an automated service and I hung up after they asked me to leave a detailed message

I received a message on my answering machine stating that I had a package that needed to be delivered to my house.  The company's name was National Express Delivery and left a phone number of 866-233-4368 and also gave me a tracking number to use.  I returned the phone call and got the automatic recording to leave a message and they would return my call.  I left my name, phone number, and tracking number and asked for them to call me back.  Within a half hour I got a return call from phone number 304-233-4368 which came up as Wheeling, WV on the caller ID.  I spoke with a lady who claimed that I had a package that needed to be delived to my house.  She asked if my address was still. . .  and she named my address.  Then she said there was a security question that I had to answer. When I told her I have no clue what the answer is to the security question.  She said that she could give me a clue.   The clue was where did I work at.  I gave her the name of my work place and she said that she would contact the driver and I would receive my delivery within a half hour.  Of course I did not receive anything.  I tried to call back both numbers.  One was not in service anymore and the other rings busy.

I received a call from National Express saying that had a package for me to be delivered from Macys. They said they had a security question for me and of course I had no idea what it was. Then they asked for my date of birth on my license to give to the driver. I'm not sure what the scame is or if it's a bill collector, but not right. It's scary not knowing what these people are up to.
