Financial Management Services (FMS) left a message asking to call back. I don't want to call.

Here is what Wikipedia has on this company: "The Financial Management Service (or FMS) is a bureau of the United States Department of the Treasury and provides several financial services for the federal government."

Why are they calling?

This is not a federal agency calling you from a mysterious 866 number. It is FMS out of Tulsa, OK and they are likely calling you about a debt they claim you or someone at your number owes.

My experience is that they have erroneous name, number, and debt info. Do not bother picking up and certainly do not give them any info. Check them out using Google.

These guys (1-866-530-3790) even call a child's cell phone. Don't even pick up their calls.

Call number showed as 866-530-3790, I answered and it was a pre-recorded message stating they were named FMS and needed me to contact them - Thank you all for posting, I did not call back but I did put an official complaint into the Federal Trade Commission, after all, it is illegal for them to call over cell phones.  I highly recomend that anyone else who receives one of these calls puts in a formal complaint - just go to the FTC.gov website, we need to stop these people before they get a grandparent on the line.

Recorded message indicates to ignore if not the person, but assumes the receiver of the message will be the person they are seeking unless you hangup.  The message was left on my recording machine.

caller said they were from FMS and calling about a debt from sprint. They wanted to verify name, social etc. Iasked what the corporate office and address were and got a run around and never answered my question. asked the callers full name and phone number, also asked what state she was calling from and whater her age and social were. She did not want to reply to any questions. We have and never had had outstanding debts. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!

These people called me looking for someone that I don't even know with my number. They did not even identify themselves just said they were looking to speak with accounts receiveable, they asked for some guy and said oh he doesn't work there anymore I informed them that this was a personal number. I have had this number for several years.

They don't give up The person that had my number before me must have owed someone because this number calls me know and i have told them she no longer has that number they didn't believe me and still call 3-4 times a week, because of them I no longer answer calls from numbers that I don't know! From doing that I have missed several important calls.

I got a call and called back asking what the company does - was told that they can't reveal that info! Asked for the main number and called that. Was told they do financial management, and wanted my number to remove me from their list. I told them I was on the no call registry, so if I was on their list they were in violation of federal law. They hung up on me.

have no buisness with them

I am 16 years old. I have no credit what so ever. Therefore I am not in any kind of debt. They call me every single day. I want them to stop, but I don't know how. Please help me.

I have been getting these calls from FMS No one here owes anybody anything. I called this number back today and ask them to never call me again. I talked to someone name "Richard" He

yeah they call my phone all the time and I'm only a teen how could I owe stuff like seriously??

Call and call and call...how many times do I have to report them before they STOP!!!!!??????

had two calls from this number this morning withing an hour apart..  Missed them both but one did leave a message on my machine.  All I caught was they needed to talk to me and then someone picked up and said hello and then hung up.  Never did catch who was calling as the machine did not pick that up.  I do not owe anyone money.  In fact I an a senior citizen who has no bills except the necessities.  Went in and blocked the number so lets see how they like it when they get a busy signal and then a hang up from my end. If they keep calling after that I will unblock and then answer and give them an ear full and they won't like what they will be told.

FMS of Tulsa, purporting to be a non-sales or non-solicitation call has called on numerous occasions.  This is harassment and needs to be prosecuted.

We've just got this number and we've received nothing but harrassing calls and messages from past owners of this number. I even called this number back to ask them to block my # from their calling list, but they still call at all hours of the day and nite!!!!

Been recieving calls from this number, turns out the person that had my number before me owes quite a few people and they refuse to to stop call as they still think the number belongs to that part party.Sad thing is I know the people who had the number and advised them of the calls and they said they advised their collectors etc of the new number but they don't stop calling. I am reg with the DO Not Call and that seems to be a waste of time as they never do anything! I have to assume from the posts and the google serach this is a debt collector.

you have the wrong number and person

I have been called from this number several calls.  They are requesting my address which  I will not give them.  I told this company to send what ever they have for me at the mailing address they have for me.
