- klucie| 2 repliesI recieved a call from Katrina Bell at this number telling me there are 3 civil complaints against me. she threatened to contact my employer about a pay day loan that was paid off in July of 2010. The name of the firm is Hansen Law Office and Associates. I talked to a Mr. Barlow this morning he would not even tell me the office address is but I found out it is in Colombus, Ohio. Fax number is 614-245-0800 and 888-859-4501. I asked him to send me documention of the debt and he told me if I was faxing a copy showing it was paid off they would just the account. When I asked him to send me a letter showing this after I faxed in my paid letter he told me to call around 4 and talk to Ms Bell. Will let you know what she tells me.

- NicoleThere was a call from a Jordan Davis from the law office of Hanson and associates. He said that he wanted him to call him back to schedule an appointment for him to make a statement. I think this is kind of fishy because he has had a payday loan he took out and defaulted on due to losing his job. He gave a case # and the phone to call back, which was 1-866-531-6617. I don't think this is real because I have had phone calls like this before say I have a warrant out for my arrest and I will be taken to jail to pay off an old debt. Anyone have an input on this? Thanks!

Am going to call Ms. Bell and tell her I need the letter to say Quik Cash. I am still planning on calling the corp office of
Quik Cash for I learned that they sold the account after it was paid off. - JaniI was told of a call received by this number in which the caller knew everything about her & her family- finances, credit cards, etc. I checked the BBB report for the "Law office of Hansen & Assoc." in Columbus, OH & found that others have had the same thing happen.

- Teresa| 5 repliesOn 04 April 2011, I recieved a message from a Jason from International Arbitratiors Office. He gave a case# and I was told he then proceded to ask a vast array of questions very personal about family, finances, etc. He left this number 866-531-6617 and that a call back was expected by 4 pm that same day. What strikes me as odd is that he was asking questions about my ex husband to my current husbands family and even more how did they get my inlaws phone info and what the heck are they doing asking for my ex. I dont know ..... Does anyone else have this same situation?

- Lisa| 1 replyThese guys are scam artists that get information off of the Internet for charged off pay day loans. File complaints against them immediately with the FCC, FBI and Better Business Bureau. There are huge fines for this type of illegal activity and I would file a claim every time they call!
- Kelly replies to Teresa| 3 repliesI got a message rom Mark at International Arbitrators as well. I called back but I got their voicemail service. They called the office that I work at asking for someone who does not work here and is not a client of ours, so I have no idea what the deal is. The phone number they gave me is 866-531-6617
- rderden replies to JACKIE| 1 replyso, what was the outcome of you being served? i just received a phone call from a James Lofton and he told me I had until 4 p.m. today to get back with him concerning a settlement or they would proceed with bank fraud charges.
- S in Texas replies to Kelly| 2 repliesI returned the call from Mark Whitfield from International Arbitrators, after talking to two different men, they told me that I had to pay off a loan that was four years old. They had my personal information and current address. I felt bullied and threatened. When I told them to send me something in the mail they said they did and if I didn't settle this 'debt' right now I would go to jail.
After I got off the phone I called my bank and they said that they are a fraudulent company. They are scamming anyone they can. Be weary! - AraceliI've gotten several threatening calls from Mark Winfield and he gives me a claim # so I can settle my loans with them, but when ask for something to be faxed or in writing they begin to get upset. I pretty much told them they can either stop harrassing me here at work or I'm going to report them to the local authorities. They claimed that someone from the local police department was sent out to arrest me..too funny, but when I asked them to verify what county I lived in they couldn't even verify that information. These people are scammers who bought our information from these cheap companies...It's very dissappointing!

- LISTEN UP, ALL OF YOUA collection agency (which these people are, technically, although not ethically) CANNOT, BY LAW, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, threaten YOU or threaten to have you arrested for a so-called loan they can't give you written proof of. YOU, on the other hand, WOULD have grounds for a lawsuit. Just talk to an attorney that specializes in collections, you will be told the same thing. These are very, VERY deceptive scare tactics that these "agencies" use to scam you out of money you most likely don't even owe and they are COMPLETELY illegal. Also, for example, if you are told you owe a debt from 2004 and it's now 2011, it's out of the statute of limitations! By law, they cannot collect on it. Most states statutes are between 4 and 6 years. If you want to check out your state's statute, see the provided link. Whatever you do, do NOT ADMIT to owing anything or you could open the case back up.

- leatherbutchpaYes people this is not a real law firm! some how some way they got your information and I have been dealing with these clowns for several years now under many fake names. They call under actor names or character names. They have called from cell phones, that are registered under many different names that are located in the Buffalo new york area.
Under the debt collections act and it's a federal law! you can look it up on line!
you can not be throw in jail for a debt unless they win a default Judgment in court.
You must have due process which means that they must send you a letter in the mail
stating they are trying to collect a debt. they must be sent by certified mail. to show that they attempted to legally contact you.
That a valid address and phone number for the company that is calling you.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ESP. CREDIT CARDS CHECK ACCOUNTS ECT.
NO LEGIT COMPANY WOULD WITH HOLD THAT INFORMATION FROM YOU!!!
If there where and complaints against you in court you would have to been notified. This is part of your legal rights. make sure you look at this web site there are a ton more #'s on here that are the same con as this company! aka ccs collections,- Caller: un know to many fake names
