- knucklehead replies to Bernwheat| 2 repliesI tried calling back the number 866 545 9413 and the man was extremely rude and would not release any detailed information about what the company was. He wanted detailed information about the person calling about. All he would say was they were an Asset Investigative Service. When asked where they were to send payment, he was very hostile and refused to disclose their location claiming that I could be "a criminal". When I demanded that they needed to comply with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and disclose their location, he became more hostile. I asked where he was and he refused. I asked if he was in the United States and he said yes and I said then you must comply with the Act. I asked what state they were in and he said North Carolina. I then lost the call.
- uki| 2 replies2 messages, the last giving a case # naming someone not in my household in a possible civil suit. i called back, was put on hold so long i hung up but was immediately called by the person who left the message. i was told the case was closed as of today, and that they had my phone number because the person listed in the civil suit put me as a relative. there is no one i know of with the name, related or otherwise. still like to know why i got this call. very suspicious.

- Dave Ramsey Fan replies to ukiThey claim they are BCN Assest Investigations and that they are not bill collector's. That their client is Greman and Synder Associates won't give you that number or address. Claim they are serving a summons for a civil suit. I called our court office and it's a lie. EXTREMELY RUDE. You will not get to speak to the original person that called and when I asked what little questions I was allowed to even though it is supposedly me they are trying to get intouch with I was told to go look it up on the internet.
- Kublai Khan| 1 replyA Daniel Long of BCN Asset Investigative Services repeatedly called my daughter in Ohio rudely demanding that she provide detailed whereabouts of my other daughter who's currently residing in Richmond, Virginia. This Daniel Long further disclosed that my daughter is facing a Civil Complaint or Civil Judgement against her in Henrico County. My daughter advised me that she doesn't know anything about anyone with some lawsuit or judgement against her. If this BCN outfit is really a bona fide business, then why aren't they serving the summons (if any) at my daughter's residence of five years. Hmmm... Because I became suspicious, my next move is with the Richmond Better Business Bureau and law enforcement authorities.

- NadiigirlBCN has been calling me off the hook, I can't tell if they are real or not, I'm skeptic, I am paying off a bill I have, so it can't be them? They are now doing a default judgement with me. Boo. What will happen next? I never replied back to them.

- Adam replies to BernwheatThis place identified themselves as BCN or something like that and that they are an investigative company. I called them back to let them know that the person they were calling for does not live here and I have no idea who the person is. When I called this number which they left on my answering machine, some guy answered. I told him that I did not know the person they were calling for, he asked what my case number was. I told him I did not have one because there wasn't one on the message. Before I could even finish my sentence he hung up on me. I called back and he told me to stop calling. When I told him to stop calling me he basically challenged me to a fight and then hung up on me. I called back and he put some woman on the phone and she told me to stop calling because nothing they could do without a case number. I hung up and they then started calling my phone nonstop and hanging up. Very professional group of people whoever they are.

USA - Frustrated and determinedI received 2 calls from an "Investigator Rudy" who left several rude messages stating she needed a call back immediately regarding a civil suit. When I first called, I spoke with some woman who stated I was being served for a civil suit in Harris County. I didn't even know where that was and when asked I was told Houston, Texas. I have never lived in Texas. Not only that, the lady I was speaking to could not give me any information regarding the debt, but just kept saying she did not know specifically. I received a second call and spoke with Investigator Rudy this time. She too asked if I still lived in Harris County. She too could not give me any information regarding the debt, but offered me a $1500 settlement. She then asked for my bank account information which I refused to give. I told her I would have to consult an attorney because this seems like a scam. Investigator Rudy told me she would give me 48 hours and would call me back and that after that she will have to proceed with the civil suit. I went to their website and it is cheesy and has very little information. I intend to get to the bottom of BCN claim services!!

- Mark replies to BernwheatI received a call today and called back. They advised me I took out a personal loan and was being sued and summoned to appear in Garrison County Court in the state of CT... Garrison does not exist so luckily I read this before I called and realized it was a scam from start.
Scary thing is they had my name, address and ONLY last 4 of Social Security and when I advised them that was wrong, I proceeded to ask "who the loan was through and for how much?" They stated since the SS deosn't match you and you cannot provide the first 6 digits, then we are not looking for you....
THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY AND THE POSTS BEFORE ME ARE ALL TRUE!!!! - pughugger replies to knucklehead| 1 replyYesterday I received a call from my father stating a man called him about an Amoco gas card I had years ago and if I did not settle it, I would be arrested and summoned to court. First of all, I have never put my father's phone number on anything (he's in KS, I'm in SC). At the time I was to have this card, we both lived in TN. I called this person back; he had my SSN, phone numbers, home address, work phone (in which he called and tried to get through to payroll). After some investigating, I went to my local police, turned in the phone numbers (in which one guy called from his cell phone to my home phone and left a message). I also found an address (Charlotte, NC), and website on this BCN Services. I've also contacted my banks and the credit bureaus and put fraud alerts on everything. I'm also calling the SSA and putting an alert on my SSN since he had all 9 digits. He called again last night and I told him what all I've done, including turning them into the police. He mumbled unintelligently and said for me to do what I needed to do and hung up.
- pughuggerThey first call my father who lives in KS; left message for me to call them. I called, they had all my information..SSN, address, phone numbers, work numbers. He said I had an Amoco gas card bill which I need to pay or I would be arrested and summoned to court. I've never had an Amoco card, and at the time I was supposed to have this card, I lived in TN.

- lostit| 15 repliesI just got home from court, in Muscogee County. Unfortunately, I avoided all calls I was receiving from BCN. A week after the last phone call, the sheriff showed up to my door and gave me court issued papers...saying that I had to appear. I went. I had in fact not paid the debt that I was being sued for, and because the courts found it valid, I am paying it back. The worst part is not paying back the debt...because I did owe it, but now I am paying back a hell of a lot more because I am paying court costs, and attorney fees. So my $600 and something dollar Value City bill just turned into $1,834!!!! I didn't even know that you could be sued for these kinds of things! I thought they were a scam too. The first time they called, the info they gave me was so vague that I figured they were BS'ing me. They told me I was in default of World Financial Network something or other. Turns out it was a credit card that I got 6 years ago. I guess now I will pay more attention to the credit cards I apply for.

- TISH replies to lostit| 12 repliesSO THEY ARE LEGITIMATE BECAUSE I'VE ALSO GOTTEN CALLS FROM THEM ABOUT A CREDIT CARD I HAD 10 YEARS AGO. I WANT TO SETTLE IF THEY AREN'T A SCAM
- could've/would've/should've replies to TISH| 9 repliesWell I won't begin to even give credit to these [***]; BCN, however they got me too! I was appauled that I would get a call from a company that refused to give me location info on them on something umpteen years old. But believe it or not with all the b/s, scams & fraud going on I was going to be d--ned if I was going to pay them people. But as they say: "hind sight is 20/20 vision." I know a little about the FDCPA & I thought that the degree of communication they were demonstrating CLEARLY violated those laws, however, I'm now a victim of a court awarded default-judgment that is almost 3 times the amount of my charged off account and in my opinion past the statute of limitations. I hate bill collectors and any such the likes; and now they've f--ked me over and instead of helping me avoid this, they knowing what could happen to me and not efficiently communicating that to me, had me dragged thru court when they could've hepled me resolve this out of court. I sure hope they can sleep at nite; because they were sooooooooo quick to say they didn't care what I did, they were gonna sign off on a summons; they probably are getting some of that default judgment so they might as well be bill-collector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Show me the money replies to could've/would've/should've| 6 repliesHey guys! They got me too! I ended u0 paying more thjan I owe! My only advsise si that just because you haven't received any court doc's these cases are real. I'm now trying to obtain info on how to over come their pursuit of me.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- SHOCKED & SURPRISED!!!| 3 repliesI got A call from these people BCN, I hung up & Google searched their phone #, I read all of the people saying that this was a scam.I called them back & told them what I had discovered & basically told them to "F" off, they said "sir, have a nice day" & hung up.Two weeks later I got a summons to appear in Niagara County court!!!! I may had been able to settle my $1475.00 debt for less but these Darn Blogs made me arrogant & skeptical towards them (even though I knew that I did have this old debt)I ended up with a judgment in the amount of $2345.67 (orig. amount & court costs) but those attorneys that owned the debt were seeking $6475.00
SHARKS!!!! I assure you all THIS IS NOT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!- Caller: BCN
- MaryFor the past three days I have received phone calls from BCN Asset Investigative concerning my brother about a law suit that is being filed against him. I called my brother and told him about this and he said he has no clue as to who would be suing him. On the second call I asked the person who was suing my brother and she told me that unless I give her his SS number she couldn't give me that information. I told her that I have it but I would not give it to her. Her reply to me was he has 48 hours to contact them. The last call so far I told them that I passed the message along and not to call me anymore and that I am not his keeper. She said then they would have to go to his house or job and serve him papers. I told her to go ahead he's a big boy and he can take care of himself. Then I hung up on her.
