No message left bu the caller of this toll free number.

Someone has been calling me from this number at least 3 times a day and won't leave a message.

I called the number back and a recording said "Thank you for calling Mervyn's card services."

I got the following message in my home phone's voicemail:
"This is an important message from GE Money regarding Mervyn's. Please call today at 1-866-549-5967. Our hours of operation are ...<blah..blah..blah>... Again, the number is 1-866-549-5967. Thank you."

I checked the time that the message arrived from the voicemail envelop information as reported by the voicemail service. However, the phone's caller ID records do not show any call at that time.

Keep receiving calls from this number, never leaves messages, I would like it to stop!

This is a legit number from Mervyns Credit, but they are idiots to use it in the way that they do.  They leave a message with this phone number asking YOU to call THEM.  When you do, they don't say why they are calling, yet they ask you to put in your account number!  When you don't put in the account number and stay on the line hoping a human being will pick up the call, they come back asking for your social security number!!  I got this call twice, and called the phone number Mervyns has on their website for their credit card customer service.  I was expecting them to say it wasn't one of their numbers and that it was an identity theft attempt.  To my surprise, they said it was one of their numbers and they were calling because they had my wrong address and I my statement was being returned to them.  UNBELIEVABLE!!

they keep calling me too...does anyone know how to make it stop?

This number keeps calling me as well but they have a wrong number and keep asking for someone else pertaining to collections.  I called the number back and even reported it to them that they have a wrong number and yet they still keep calling me at horrible hours.  Before 8AM, after 9PM.  I would also like to know how to make them stop!

This number keeps calling my CELL phone number, which I've only had for less than two years.  No message is left EVER.  I wonder if it's because the caller knows this is a cell phone and that they are potentially costing me money by leaving me a message I check.  Regardless, it is highly annoying.  I'm sure it is a scam.  I bet they want me to answer, accuse me of owing somebody money, and trick me into giving out personal information like my social security number.  I am not stupid.  If I really owed money, the collectors would know specifics like my mailing address.  I only have ONE credit card.  I have NO store credit cards, and the only loans I've ever taken were student loans which I don't owe yet since I am still currently enrolled full-time.  Unfortunately, I don't know how to make these people stop calling me (perhaps I can report the number to my cell phone company and have them put a block on it?) -- but I sure as hell don't want to answer and deal with these scam artists verbally.

Because HSBC ourtsources it's calls, I informed them that I did NOT want to recieve any calls from them no matter how late I was or what the situation. They can put it in writing. I did put my request in writing as well.

I too have been getting calls all the time from this number. It's been going on for about 2 months! They leave staticky messages (once mentioned Mervyn's) in Spanish asking for someone else. I told them they have the wrong number but they won't stop! I should not get this on my cell phone! Even worse, before this number, I was harrassed by other 866's, but at least they stopped after a while(only to be replaced by another). This number is the worst though. They should get sued...

I filed a complaint against the number with the FCC on the 12th of December. If they are calling your Cell phone and you have no business with them, and you have tried telling them they have the wrong number and they keep calling. I would suggest complaining to the FCC as well (form 1088). Maybe if the FCC gets enough complaints Mervyn's will get in deep s***.

This morning, I got a call from someone by the name of Randy. In halting English and a weird accent (not an American) he asked for my wife. I told him that my wife was at work. He requested me if he could leave a message and I said in the affirmative.  According to him, he was calling on behalf of Mervyn's and it is about a long-overdue account in the amount of $185.00.  He even mentioned about our old address where we stayed for fourteen years. I told him that we left that address five years ago. I asked him how he got our tel nr. He told me that he got it from a data base, blah, blah, blah. I got suspicious and I told him to send the bill to that old address but he wanted to outsmart me by asking my wife's new address. I got mad and threatened to bring this matter to the FBI. He insisted in getting our new address.  I said, "I don't deal with [***]. You are a [***] [***]!" and I hanged up.

Maybe I should pay my mervyns cc account... lol.  I just came here trying to figure out who this was.

I got really insulted that I was out of work but they had people calling from India where they gave US jobs away.

One day, one of them called saying "I am able to speak to (my name)?" in the form of a question. I said, " Oh, you're ABLE? Hurray for speech therapy!" and hung up on him.
