Don't know who this is. But they left a message at my job, and knew my full name. I rarely provide my middle name. The message sounded fishy, so I was told not to call them back. Seriously, why would they disrupt my workplace?

Call came through "Unknown Caller" of which we have been getting multiple calls daily but they never identify themselves on the answering machine or leave a message.  12/12 11:55a failed to identify themselves by name or company leaving a number similar to the one below.  they asked for me or my husband and the only legitimate debt we have jointly is our mortgages.  I have a good idea who this is and they have a bad reputation online and have already been notified in writing certified mail not to call here.  Man caller on this message said "I don't want to have to call friends and neighbors or I will just get you on that job"  I recorded the message from my answering machine and will report it to the authorities, as this call was definitely in violation of identification requirements for debt collectors and was definitely meant to harass.  I intend to fully exhaust all avenues of recourse against this company and the company they represent, assuming they are calling regarding a valid debt.  Will report back when I have properly identified them and give that information

I have received multiple calls from this number, which only has a 419 on the caller ID when they call. They sometimes leave messages saying that I, or my attorney, must call immediately but will not say what it's regarding. They do not leave a company name and I refuse to call anyone back who is that demanding and will not even tell me where they are calling from, what it's about or allow a valid number to show on caller ID.

I received a telephone call from a lady that said she was with UCB on 2/5/2009 at 8:33 AM. The lady wanted me to take her name and telephone number and give it to a friend that lives next door. I asked, who is UCB and she told me it was a collection agency.  I told her I was not comfortable with her request as I was not a collection agent and they needed to use the mail or a private process server.

The caller did not identify his company name. He left a message for me looking for someone who co signed for a loan for 13 years ago. I have had no contact with this person in yeras. I called this 866# and determined it was to a company called United Collection Bureau. They obviously took my name, ran MY credit report, and obtained MY unlisted phone number, and have started calling me about collections for some I don't know anymore.
I personally am not in collections for ANYTHING!

My wife was a victim of identity theft which has wreaked havoc on our lives. That aside, UCB has repeatedly abused federal law by  calling all our relatives and friends in several states and saying thay are looking to collect debt from us. Each time they do this it is a violation of Federal Law. We are currently working with an attorney to file a civil suit for damages against these dispicable criminals.

These people are HARASSING!!  They called my in-laws looking for my mother, and even after they stated they had the wrong number-it was their daughter-in-law's mother, they proceeded to tell my mother-in-law why they were calling (after she gave them my number!)  And my mother'-in-law needed that information BECAUSE?!?!?!  Talk about inapporpriate, not to mention rude!  And they really think people will call them back so they can 'help out'!
They then left a message on my machine giving the same information, stating they would like to help my mother out 'before this gets out of hand' It's not really my business, either, much less my in-laws!!

These people called me and asked me to pass on their name and number to my next door neighbor.  Are they too dumb to use snail mail?  To cheap to use registered mail?  I'm not on their payroll--why should I do their errands?

A "Mr. Miller" called my workplace today. The receptionist put him through to my office. He wanted me to verify my social. I refused. He immediately began demanding to know why I had not payed a past due bill and "what had I done...just thrown the bills in the trash?" He was EXTREMELY verbally abusive towards me and really rattled me.

I refused to talk with him any further so then he wanted my to connect him with the HR director for my company so he could verify my employment. I explained I could not transfer him to that office from my phone, but he could hand up and dial the main number and they could. He then called me a liar and said he "would not trust a debtor to transfer him to the correct number anyway" and HE then hung up on me.

    They keep calling...
A Mike Van Dursen (?) keeps calling and calling every phone number connected to me via work, HR, my teenage daughter!  States only that it's in reference to a file # and that I must call hime back immediately.  They call sometimes displays 419 as well.  He says it's a company phone problem and they are trying to get that fixed??

I'm afraid to call them back.
