I just called the number and a young woman (very nicely) answered and asked for my first and last name, which I declined to do.  She said she was calling from "RESTORE AMERICA'S VOICE CAMPAIGN."
Apparently it's a conservative fund raising campaign

Received call today.  Didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.  They left no message.

These jerks are starting to get to me. They have been calling every night at 7:30+/- for the last week. Now they're calling on the weekend too.....

So, if there is an opt out at the end of their message, that's all well and fine, except I'm not interested in listening to what ever their message is.

I am getting the calls over and over.  The call does not record on an answering machine.  When you pick up the phone it will go over its speel, and by selecting 1, you get a live person.  I am past the point of being tired of getting the calls so I decided to speak with a live person last week.  I was promised I would be pulled from the calling list.  I continued to recieve the calls so I selected 1 again, and was promised again that I would not receive the calls.  Anything beyond  the first call is harrassment, and I am going to escalate this as far as I need to go until I get results in my favor.  Political organizations may be exempt from the do not call registry, but they are required to stop calling when asked.

curiouser and curiouser. I haven't received a call from the 866 number, but HAVE been called a good dozen times by 703-665-1999 which caller ID lists as originating in Sterling, VA just outside DC. The calls are obviously from a credit card phishing scam ("we'll renegotiate your interest rates -- just give us your credit card and social security numbers"). HOWEVER: re-dialling the 703 number connects you with -- Restoring America's Voice.
