I get a call on my office phone every day around 4PM asking me to call this number.  The caller is a recorded voice message that says something about resolving an account, "This is not a sales call, please call this number before the end of the business day".  Highly irritating.  Will leave a voice mail.

I get the same call on my cell phone. It's really annoying and it runs up my mins.

repeated calls over the past few days, early enough to wake me the last two days. automated voice recording left once with message similar to chris above leaving return phone and reference number. this morning (when the phone woke me) I answered it. the woman's voice asked for identification - they were apparently attempting to reach someone with the same first and last name, different middle name. when I suggested she had the wrong person - and wrong number - she hung up with no additional explanation. i went back to bed. -ml

Received a voice message to a business number after hours at 7:30pm on a Friday. The start of the message was cut off but they say to call the number by the end of business the next day (Saturday) and to reference an account number. As we are a business I thought it might have been a legit call but from what I've read here, as well as the time of the call, I think not.

i too am getting the call on my cell of a recording requesting me to call back and it leaves a reference number. never specifies who the call is for but states it is not a sales call and urges it is important to call before the next business day ends.

Same as above - rather intimidating.  Also, several no-one-there calls, so guessing we are on a calling machine.  Love to know what scam this is.

I get a call from this number a few times a week, asking that my dead mother call in.  I've attempted to explain to the caller that my mother never lived with me and asked what the bill is for.  The customer service rep would not give me any information.  I asked the calls stop, but they haven't.  I am considering contacting the better business bureau. What a pain in the butt.

I have had this voicemail message twice - call the number to resolve, give this reference number, etc. - on my cell.  The name given that they're trying to contact is completely unknown to me.  It comes up as "unavailable" when they call, so I don't answer.  Annoying.

I just got a call from this number.  It was an automated voice that spoke way too fast.  She had an account number and said I had to call.  I wasn't able to get the account number written down, but I managed to get the phone number.  After being on hold for quite a while, they asked for my Social Security number so they could "look me up".  No thanks.  They couldn't look me up any other way so I said "thanks" and hung up.

We got a call from this number today. Automated voice says it's TRS Recovery and to call 866-565-9161 to resolve an account and reference a specific file number. We called and the entire thing was automated, we were never able to speak to a live person. During the call, they also refer to themselves as TeleCheck and say if you want to report check theft and other stuff to visit their website www.telecheck.com. I emailed them and explained they've got the wrong number and please remove it. They were calling for this guy who him and his wife are giving our phone number to all the creditors they're running from. They've never had this number but we're bombarded daily with calls from collection agencies hunting them.

Calls everday from 800-927-4606 telling me to call 866-565-9163 for account resolution.  Identify as TRS recovery.  Call, get an automated system with no way of finding out about the account.  Will leave voicemail if I do not answer.

We've been received calls from "Unknown Caller" for weeks now.  Often the caller hangs up, but sometimes I get the recorded message for someone we don't know who has a similar first and last name as ours.  Very irritating, and I have no idea what to do about it.  They call usually 3-4X every day.

Get the phone call from this company saying to return call within 24 hours on a debt collection.  Call them, every number I push on their phone tree except for payoff, connects me to Telecheck.  They tell me it is for a collection from August 20th.  Seems kind of quick for a $60 collection.  TO verify it wasnt me, they wanted a letter from the bank reporting it saying I never had an account there, a copy of my drivers liscense and a copy of a voided check.  I asked why a voided check since I never had an account there and she stated they would still need one.  Everything short of a social security number in order to set up fraudulent checks if you ask me.

My 13 year old daughter has received this call on her cell phone twice. She certainly hasn't run up any debt so I assumed it was a call intended for the former holder of the phone number since she hasn't had the phone for very long.  Sounds like a cell phone version of phishing to me.  I've instructed her not to answer any calls she doesn't recognize and delete any such messages after showing them to one of her parents.

We have been getting this same call everyday for weeks. mostly in the mornning and sometimes in the afternoon and on weekends.I get the recorded message for someone we don't know who has a similar last name as ours and to call the number 866-565-9161 to resolve, gives some long reference number.

We have been getting this for a couple of weeks. Call back and get a recorded message asking to make a payment by phone. Never make a payment if you dont know what its for. I believe this is a scam

We received a call from them today.  They stated that my husband has a bad debt that they need to collect.  It was apparently a check written to a Dairy Mart on a Selco Credit Union account.  We do not have such an account and wouldn't have written a check to Dairy Mart in any case.  I called the credit union and there is no one in their data base with my husband's name who has a checking account.  These guys are thieves or in partnership with thieves.  They stated both names on the phone, TeleCheck and TRS Recovery.  The really irritating thing is that I had to sit on hold for half an hour before I got a live person and once I did, I could barely hear her.

Every day during working hours, I get this call. I have no clue what it is and am not going to waste time finding out.

Calls keep coming into our office # and call back several times a day.  I need for those calls to STOP coming into our office.  This is a business and no personal calls are allowed only business calls are accepted. Sometimes a voicemail message is left but you only get the end of a recording.

We've been getting the same no name/no phone calls which we won't answer and never left a message until yesterday.  Same message other rec'd with the call in the next 24 hours to resolve this type of thing.  Called the 8665659161 number and got into a phone system that loops endlessly.  Need to call our phone provider to see how we can block this as it's so annoying.
