- Mack| 14 repliesGot a call offering to sell my land in Colorado. Said they could sell it for way above the current tax appraisal. I kept asking questions and he kept evading them. I asked how they got my name and number, how he arrived at the appraisal and who could verify that area properties were going for that price. After not giving an appropriate answer for any of my questions, he said it sounds like you want to do some more research, call us back if you want to sell.

- cobI received a call today from a Mario Pici who asked if I wanted to sell my lots in Fl. and he was offering an extremely high amount! So I asked him if he actually had a buyer for the lots and he claimed he did. I told him I would think about it (which means I'd be researching this Liberty land Service.) and that I'd call him if I decided to sell. I believe they get names off tax rolls, must be public info?

- cob| 2 repliesI did some research on Liberty Land Services with the BBB of Fl. It seems the company is not a BBB accredited business, but has a satisfactory rating.
They are into sales and resales of properties throughout the US.and advertise them nationally. You can check it out on: www.bbbwestflorida.org - Lady Di| 1 replyRec'd a call from 866-572-2879 from Elizabeth, who said are you interested in selling your property in Collier County call.
Well I did. Spoke to Mario Pici. I said the property isn't for sale
but if the price is right anything is for sale. He said How about 450 -
$500,000. I said I have to speak to my husband I'll call you back.
Called back and said can you do better. He said what would you like to
walk away with. I said $700,000. Okay he said well have to put down
$750 to leave room for negotiation. Then he went into a whirlwind of
we have to send you papers to sign, the buyer pays the commission, pays closing costs and all you have to do is pay us $795.00 for putting you
into our system, to sell your property. But we get paid up front can I
have your visa, mastercard or amex card #. Now I have no idea who this person is and IF I gave him my credit card perhaps he'd bang it out
for the full amount. WHO PAYS UP FRONT FOR REAL ESTATE DEALS. SCAM
definitely.- Caller: Libery Land Services
- ChasRec'd call from this # re land in Park Co, Colo. (uranium discovered, was not mentioned, but I already knew see http://www.freewebs.com/sospw08/home.htm) making offer to buy (had quite a few calls lately but don't know if all from same #/co) offer was quickly upped. Said I would think about it.

- ButchMy sister and I own property in Collier Co. FL and they called my sister and they said they could sell the property for more than two and a half times what we have been asking for it. They wanted $750.00 up front to list it and sell it for us. This fee is non-refundable and in their "terms and conditions" it says they will sell it "normally" in 30-90 days. If it doesn't sell in that time they will continue for 12 months and then they will contact us. It sounds like they will try to sell it for a year and then it is over. When I talked to the sales guy he said that they would continue to try and sell it until it was sold with no extra cost to us. That's not what it says in their "terms". He wanted my credit card information so he could send the paperwork for us to look over. I wouldn't give it to him. I told him I would have to talk to my sister first. I think it is a scam to get the $750. and they don't sell anything. He told me they make their money off the loan from the buyer at 8-12% interest. That sounded pretty high. I would stay clear.
- Good Realtor| 4 repliesI am a Realtor here in Hawaii. One of my clients called me asking me why can this company offer them $48,000 for their property when I am telling them I can get them +-$10K.
Well that is because this Liberty Land Services is a scam. They take a small amount from the seller for "advertising" and then rip off some buyer. What if that buyer was you, or a friend / family member? Don;t let greed get the better of you, if you are really interested in selling your property, speak to a licensed agent in your area. My wife (also a licensed Realtor) gave them a call at 866-572-2879. The person she spoke to didn't want to answer any questions and actually ended up hanging up on my wife.
They are not a licensed agency, so BEWARE!!! - retjockRecieved a call from Liberty land who left message on my answering service
asking me if I wanted to sell my land in hawaii. I have owned property
in Hawaii for many years, and also have a relative there who just happens
to be a real estate broker. They gave me a call back number 1-866-572-2879.
I know what the latest assessment on my property is, and its approximate
value. I gave them a call after hours, and got a recording that indicates
to me it must be a bucket shop....it listed several sales people and their
extension numbers..and at the end..I was asked to hold the line..and a
sales representative would be with me shortly. On that note, I hung up.
I highly recommend that you should call a local real estate
firm in the area where your property is located. They should know the market value of your property, and area sales conditions.

- teragram| 1 replyTammy, from 866 572 2879, left a message about selling my lot in Florida. I called back and talked with Maxwell. He basically said I receive 22,500. He made it sound like he had a buyer in hand. I said that figure was less than the appraised price. He said there were not closing costs. He suggested that I look at their website and call him if I wanted to sell. They must be combing the land records and calling owners nationwide (I live in Oregon). I've had other offers but, the others actually had buyers.
From the above comments and the quality of their website, I have not intention of calling Maxwell or Tammy back on this.- Caller: Liberty Land Services
- No FoolI had a call from Nicole and was told by the agent Robert that he could sell my property for 72-76k. I asked what type of fee is involved as was told $849.00. Said they sell land in 60-90 days and the longest was 8 months...Hmmm, right there I was DONE.
Sounds like they're preying on the suckers.
