Received phone call from "Lowes" and asked to call back.....with a "code"

Received call but no message. Called it back and got an automated system asking for a code to retrieve a message.

Received a call they left no message.

This was an automated call asking me to complete a survey regarding the conversation I had with a Best Buy replacement plan agent.

called 3 times in one day, finally left a message with a message number. it is a customer service survey company asking about a recent warranty claim i filed with walmart.

Keeps calling leaving no message on answering.

Received two phone calls from this number -- no message.

I recently completed a similar contract with Office Depot.  Could be the same type of call.

This was an automated call to my cell phone.  It said my first name and asked me to press 1 if it was me.  I did.  It then said it was calling about my "service call" to WalMart.  It asked me to press 2 if I did not want to receive similar calls in the future.  I didn't press anything.  It said it was calling about the Walmart product replacement plan.  ***The only thing I can figure is that I recently made some purchases at SAMS CLUB and purchased the extended warranty plans for these products.  On the day of my purchases I called the warranty service and registered these products using my name and cell phone number.  They are now apparently using that information to telephone me.  I really didn't want to be bothered by an automated phone call, so I hung up.

called left automated message and asked me to enter a code.  when i did, it asked if i had called about the plan, and i didn't so it told me to enter number two.  so, i did.  then it hung up on me.  this was from BESTBUY.  I AM CONFUSED???!!!

the number showed up on my caller ID. I read the other comments from the people that received these calls, made a copy of this info and submitted it to the Attorney General's office. (you can go on line for the state you are in, get the address, write a short note and send a letter explaining you are receiving these unwanted calls.) If you are on the do not call/solicit list, the company must take you off or pay a fine up to $5,000.
If more individuals would do this and take the time to send their Attorney General's office this info, the goverment office  will take action. We have had similiar issues and they were resolved by this method.

Yesterday I returned a failed xbox360 to Best Buy under their extended warranty plan. I used the credit to purchase a new xbox and another extended warranty. Today I got a call from this number with no message left.

received a voice mail asking to call back with a code. The end said thanks from "Bestbuy". Its fake but I don't understand what the trick is.

I recieved 3 calls in one day from this number. The third time they finally left a message. They gave me a code to enter when i called back, and said it was in reference to Target stores. Days ago, I had filed a claim with the extended service plan that the Target stores use. I am imaging that this was what it was in reference to.   I called the number and entered the code.. and it asked if it was me... I did not feel comfortable giving out any personal info to whoever this may be... so did not respond.. and hung up.

I received this call twice in one day. From everyone else's post, I believe it is from Walmart as well about my warranty replacement plan. I had called them over 5 weeks ago regarding it and NOW I get a call back!

I received at call from this number and it was for BestBuy, asking me if I'd be interested in doing a survey about a product I recently purchased.  I live in Michigan if that helps anyone.
