Is there any definitive way to stop getting these calls, please POST instructions, BBB, FCC...???. I don't know how they got my number and they shouldn't have it. Called back and they didn't answer any of my questions.

First of all, pay your bill. Second of all, if it is not your responsibility to pay the bill then dispute it. At least take the initiative to find out why they are calling you. Take on the responsibility to straighten it out!! The do not call list does not apply.  The DNC is for telemarketing, not debt collection.

Hit *60 and enter in the number.  This will block them from being able to call your phone #.  I work for 411, this will eliminate them calling.

I get calls from these guys at least 5 times a day .. This company is very very rude and wont even leave a message as to what the call is about.. I know that I have medical bills because of lupus..... and I am trying to get medicaid.... But there is no reason to be harassed everyday... Things are not going to change......

I received a tape recorded phone call on 7/22/08 at 1:40 p.m. sayiny they were J.C CHRISTENSEN Wills & Probate and to return the call at 866 768 5813.

They've been calling my cell too...I returned their call at a later time & tried to find out who they are & what they want.  It took at least four different calls of them hanging up on me before I found this much out earlier today.

JCC - Umm JCC

JCC - ...

Then a few minutes later I called back...

JCC - Hello

JCC - We're a finacial services company.  Why?  Did you get a letter from us & may I have your id number?
Me - Thanks for the info, bye.

got a phone call last night and the person was rude and called my wife and son a liar.
we have a do not call list from our state attorney and they have been reported.
if i continue to get calls they will be fined

We keep getting messages from this company.  We have no idea what this company is all about.  They need to stop harassing people with unwanted calls.

I am in minnesota too and they are calling me to damn it lol pisses me offf

J C Christianson & associate probate stating I need to call them immediately.  We have no dealings with this company it is a SCAM

I get the same message from the same number.  One call comes in at 8:05
and another at noon.  I don't have any credit problems except in a dispute with Earthlink on service or rather, the lack of service that I received from that agency.  I am going to file a complaint with the FTC.
Care to join me ?  I am located in Clatsop County, Oregon.

File a complaint against them with the FTC for violations of Sections 804 and 805 of the FDCPA (Calling before 8 AM local time and refusing to identify themselves):

I just now go a call from 866-768-5813. Picked up not knowing who it was. I just got this phone number and i am only 16 years old. What the heck do they want with me. next time they call they will not be happy they called. Stupid people.

They lady said on the line that it was a collection agency two times.
Then hung up on me.

Boy, am I glad to find this forum!!  We had a disabled sister that battled a mattress firm for about 8 years over shady financing and inferior quality of product.  Her health declined and another sister took her in for a 3 years before she came back to our home state and passed away.  Now JC Christenson is calling my caretaker sister saying she's responible for a bill that began at just over $500 and is now in excess of $5,000 and to call their probate manager to avoid being sued for the debt... lucky for us that I'm not a very trusting soul and refuse to take anything at face value.  I knew this was a load of crap but now I have this site as proof.  Thanks for spreading the knowledge!

I received a voice mail with instructions to call J.C. Christensen Probate & estates @ 866-768-5813.  I dialed the number, an auto sys.
1st instructed me to press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish.  I pressed 1
then I was told if I didn't have my account number to please enter my phone number which I did.  I was then instructed to enter the last 4 digits of my social.  I did not do that, hung up, went on the internet & here I am.  Do these people try to get money from you by saying that you owe money to someone?  I do not have any outstanding debts.  I live alone, my children are grown & gone.  My Mom & dad have been dead for many years.  I am 62.  These people should be investigated.

Periodically I get calls from this toll-free number:  866-768-5813.  I last received a call from 866-768-5813.  I called the number back today (Sunday 2/15/09) & heard the intro of the company name J C Christianson.  Of course, there's no one there on a Sunday, but the menu asked for an account number, or press something else if I received a letter.  I've never received any letters, nor do I think I'm late on any of my bills.  I might try to find the address that's attached to the number I reported & have my lawyer write a letter asking what their business is with me.

This outfit calls anyone they think might give them information on an outstanding debt. They are in Minnesota. Send them a registered letter and copy the state attorneys general if the continue to harass you, especially if it is not your debt.

my brother passed away recently, only aged 52 and this company has been calling my mothers home several times a week some weeks daily, these people are ignorant.but will not stop what can i do?
