The number called and said my debit card had been locked due to suspicious activity. I don't use a debit card! They never mentioned a company name and my only option was to click to have them re-activate my card. I hung up before they could ask any personal information.

They called and said my debit card had been locked ("Community Credit" which I've never heard of or do business with) and I needed to dial "1" to talk to the fraud unit. I hung up.

I received a call saying they were with Bank of America and my debit card had been locked for security purposes. I pressed one, and they asked me to enter my 16 digit debit card number so I hung up and called Bank of America.

This is a phishing call--don't answer it and don't press "1".

I received a call this morning from an automated system claiming to be Bank of America. BoA customer service verified that there was no suspicious activity on my accounts and no card had been locked.

I received a call on my cell phone with an automated message claiming to be Bank of America saying that my debit card had been locked and asking me to press 1 to speak with the fraud department.  I verified with BoA that this was an attempt for me to enter my banking information in order to access my account.

    Don't press 1!

Automated message claimed to be Bank of America, calling due to a recent security breach. "Please, press 1 to reactivate my debit card."  Haven't a had BOA account since we settled out of court in 2008. Very interesting.

I got this call today for the first time.  I was confused because I don't have a card acct with Bank Of America?  The automated call asked me to reactivate my card by entering "1" or to leave the call by entering "2".  I hung up and called the Bank of America Fraud department and they said they are not aware of any such automated call.  They said not to worry about it, just ignore it?  Having been a victim of fraud before I'm definitely not happy about receiving such calls.  Thanks everyone for these posts -wg

I just got this call, too... the same exact one.   At 12:30 at night! Seriously, people? I know that BoA wouldn't call this late, and they'd also send me some sort of email notification as well.  Glad I didn't press anything. Thanks for your posts guys.

A call came in from this number with a mechanical voice saying that I needed to press 1 to contact the Bank of America security department concerning suspicious activity on my card.  I never pressed 1 and the line went dead.

just received call automated 12:30AM these people must be complete IDIOTS..........just to be on safe side had my husband get his card and use # listed on card, however I did not just as others listed below did not press # they ask me to. I just hung up, I was thinking quite odd so came in to check out the internet for hits on it. It seems to me someone should be able to disconnect this used number who is authorized to do such and prevent ones not doubting the call from being scammmmmed.

Received phone call this morning at 6:15.  Woke me up out of a heavy sleep.  Very upsetting to receive this kind of a call as you worry if someone is in trouble and trying to reach you!

Received a call at 3:02AM on my cell phone with an automated voice saying my Bank of America debit card had fraudulent use, to press "1" to be connected to their fraud unit. I hung up because I do not have a BoA account. From reading other posts, assuming this is a phishing scam. But at 3:02 AM?? Thanks probably foreign scammers.
