They've called me twice now; I refuse to pick up!!  They haven't left any messages.  I actually experienced two weeks without any telemarketers calling, and then these guys broke that wonderful peaceful streak.

They called, asked to speak to me and then hung up without saying anything else.

This is Sears with their "Courtesy Call" whatever the ^#% that is?

If you call a toll free number from a pay phone it cost them about $0.30 for each call.  If everybody would call the toll free number from a pay phone several times a day their cost of business would increase - perhaps enough that they would go out of business  When calling the toll free number you just have to make sure the call connects.  You don't have to have a conversation.  Once the call connects, even if it’s just for a second, they get charged the $0.30

Never answered it, but there was another 866 call from a different number a couple of minutes earlier when the call was made (Mar. 5)

Yet another call, still no message.

Once again, another call from them and still no message! Pesky telemarketers.

Another call! One more and I'm signing up for the Do Not Call list in Canada.

Very annoying calls on our office phone..once a day ever single day for the past month or more.  Never anyone there when the phone is picked up.  Finally called the number back and it was some telemarketer on bealf of Sears trying to push life insurance.  added the work number to the supposed DNC list...we'll see if it works

said they would call back in 45 minutes cause mom wasn't home... :/

This company started asking my mother personal questions such as her date of birth - this does not seem right at all and looks really bad.  Mum started giving her date of birth but suspicious, I hung up the phone - they were calling from a what sounded like a cell phone and something seemed very fishy.

I always pick it up and let them listen to the radio :-)

Again, Again, Again, Again, Again, Again....every day at the approximate same time (dinner)  [***]. For a senior person I don't usually use such language. I'm fed up with these demented people.

I got the same call.  They never leave a message. I've seen the number 6 months ago and picked it up by mistake.  They were trying to sell me crappy life insurance.

Oct 7/10 6:37 pm Oct 6/10 6:27 pm, Oct 5/10  4:01 pm,  Oct.4/10 8:06 pm, Obviously someone is working the afternoon shift!~,  All on my cell phone, from the above culprit #.  What I do after I check the number, (on a site like this), I save the caller's number under my contacts list, and as it as a New Contact, naming it DNA meaning: "do not answer", and when your phone wants you to choose your ringtone, just set the ringtone to  "NO Ringer", so you will never hear them calling, but their phone #  will still show up on your phone as missing a call from DNA. This way you are not interupted by these calls, and will not even know they called, till you look at the phone history, and see how many times DNA called.

Good luck!  In a way I think it is funny, that someone working somewhere trying to get a sale, and meanwhile it will NEVER be answered, but this works well, and I never have to answer it.
