Two "agents" claimed to be business security experts that wanted to set up an onsight inspection of every room in my business. The reason for their call was to confirm a date to do the inspection.  They claimed to be surveillance specialists known as PCA and in affliation with copsmonitoring.com   Oddly enough however, one of the "agents" wanted to know the costs of my services at my business.  Very odd indeed considering she claimed PCA security firm located in Michigan and my business is located in Pennsylvania. I then told them I was not interested in doing any on-site inspections with their company and hung up.

Rec’d another very annoying phone call from PCA Security, 906-932-4317, at 8:18 AM, for 3:41 mins.

A “Pam” said she’s with PCA Security, a new store opened up, and wants to hand out 500+ gifts. Yeah right! The call center is located in Ironwood, MI, with a zip code of 49938.

Note some jerk of a guy called yesterday at 11:48 AM, C.S.T., wouldn’t identify himself, but also claimed to be from PCA Security, but NOTE caller ID came up with:  906-932-2237. I logged complaints online immediately, and it was interesting to note the overwhelming amount of complaints from others. Remember research both numbers. It’s an eye-opener. The more people know what sleaze-balls they are, the better!

My take is the insidious, hidden, call center masquerading as PCA Security, meaning telemarketing center, had to change their number due to all of the complaints. For the annoyed reader you can also look up this other number as well, and see a plethora of complaints. Or just “google” both of the numbers I’ve posted.

So I just decided to yack with this Pam and tell her I’m annoyed, do-not-call me, as you’re violating the do-not-call lists we’re on. In the background you can hear her supervisor, coaching loudly, “come on, close the sale, make progress, or hang up on the idiot.” What a bunch of sleazy dirt-bags!

Here is their URL:  http://pcasecurity.com/   I called them and complained to them directly. Maybe if they get nailed with irate people, they’ll get the idea. – Al

I then called up the gal at PCA Security, at 866-593-7157, gave her both phone numbers and then said to “google” both of those phone numbers. Hopefully your annoying telemarketing tactics that you are encouraging out of Ironwood, MI will serve to denigrate the ethics of your company. No, I’m not going to tell you who I am, as your call center didn’t want to indicate who all they were and where they were located. Check out “Google” and read all the postings to your sleazy company! Bye.

PCA Security has called our office over 12 times within the last 24 hours claiming to hand out 500+ cameras.  Claim they have a new office opening in our area, but when we asked where the new office was located they couldn't give us the details.  When we asked again, they said they didn't have their own security system set up in the new office so they weren't willing to give out their office address in fear that people could steal their information.  We denied their services, yet they continued to call.  When we told the sales rep that we have already spoken with the company, her response was "Well you will continue to receive calls from us until we speak to the person we need to."  When we told her that she already has and that we weren't interested, she rudely let us know that it wasn't her we spoke to and hung up.

this must be a real boiler room operation with a list of phone numbers and an auto-dialer - somebody called and identified themselves as representing PCA Security and wanted to sell me a security system for my business at a cut rate, as they were opening up new territory. I told her I wasn't interested, as I already had a security system, and let it go at that. I even answered the phone with the name of my company, and she still tried to sell me a system - how dumb is that...

We've received two calls from a brusque woman at PCA Security in the last 24 hours.

After her spiel about security cameras and a new office opening up, I asked them never to call again, but the woman said only my boss, a business partner, or his spouse can ask for us to be removed from their calling list.

I'm surprised they think constant harassment is going to get results in the security field, which makes me think they're not legit whatsoever.

Just recvd a call from this Company with different number (906-779-1746).  I filled out this form for that number and THEN googled the PCA Security and find that it has a nice website so sent them a note to warn.  Now I find that this may ALL be bogus (phone numbers, name, etc).

PCA is NOT a security monitoring service.  They only sell the hardware to you via "Marlin Leasing".  We signed up for their "service" a couple years ago with the promise that they would move our system for free to our new location only 3 months after we were installed.  Needless to say, the refused to due so and the response was full of 4 letter words, threats against us, and flat out denying that we were even a client.  "Marlin Leasing" is the company that you will pay for the equipment lease.  The cost of the equipment is only a couple hundred dollars if bought outright, but their the PCA Security service, you will pay a total of +$2000.  You can't get out of the lease as Marlin only does the equipment "lease", and has nothing to do with the security part of it.  PCA does not do any "Security" monitoring either.  If you have a break in, a different company will take care of the call- but you will have to pay them for the "service".
Right now, if we had a break in, the police would be notified in a different city than we are in as PCA won't even update our address... but they can still send us letters about the company- go figure.

DO NOT USE PCA SECURITY.  THEY ARE A SALES COMPANY SELLING LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS YOU CAN BUY AT SAM'S CLUB FOR 1/10 THE COST!!!

    They are located at:
    27072 Simar Wasas Road
    Mass City, MI 49948
    Owner name:  Andrew Robinson
Email:  pcacctv@yahoo.com  (don't even have the guts to have their own email)

The guy is not a good man.  Don't be fooled.

    You have now been warned.

    Regards-

    Rich

PCA will move any system for free that the customer has a Free move in wrighting from the sales Rep. However there will be a charge for the reinstallation of the equipment. As far as the quality of the equipment IT IS INDUSTRY STANDARD ...... We have done much research before deciding on a product line AND WE DO NOT WANT TO INSTALL A SUB QUALITY Product as we unlike any one in the industry replace or repair all equipment throughout the term of the Lease FREE OF CHARGE to the customer..

PCA is not a company that you can trust. They do not return phone calls for technical assistance, they do not insure a quality system and they do not care what happens after you are signed up. And the 60 month warranty- not even 60 minutes if you have to wait 3 or 4 months to get something handled. A security camera system should work properly or be remedied quickly. Forget that. Marlin Leasing and PCA- bad business

    Response...
What a bunch of crap! I just came back from a lady's site and seen your work. I do not consider a Speco DVR to be "industry standard" like a bosch, pelco or dedicated micros DVR is.

    then you say...
AND WE DO NOT WANT TO INSTALL A SUB QUALITY Product as we unlike any one
in the industry replace or repair all equipment throughout the term of the Lease FREE OF CHARGE to the customer..
    Response...
Another load of crap! It states right in her contract that she is responsible for all repairs, maintenance, damaged, theft or vandalisim to the system.

I do not think that she has a leg to stand on as far as getting out of the contract but I have encouraged her to contact the State Attorney General's office in regards to price gouging. Also I have encouraged to to contact other in her situation regarding a "Class Action Lawsuit".

As for the future, my best regards to you Frank. I believe your crooked ways are going to catch up to you and you are going to find yourself doing time with a cellmate named "Bubba"

I was roped into a contract with Time corp through PCA Security.  Everything the man told me when I signed up was a lie!  He told me they would be my internet service provider and they would monitor everything for me.  Lie!  They provide no internet.  I specifically asked him about this too.  I was also told that the machine would tape for 6 to 8 weeks.  I was broken into two weeks after installation.  It took me four days to get a hold of someone and they tell me that by day four everything is gone.  I lost thousands during that break in.  Another lie.  I was told at the end of the contract the equipment would be mine as it would be outdated by then anyway.  I had a security company look at my contract and that's a lie also.  I however am not giving up.  I have a question for everyone.  Was your house or place of business broke into previous to them calling or selling you the system?  And if so how long before?  Just asking because I was.  Email me at Herbstlaura@yahoo.com.   Thanks  Maybe together we can bring this chain down.

How did you proceed? We are locked into 2 PCA/Marlin 60 month contracts. The lease seems pretty solid and makes us responsible for everything. And now we can't even get a response from PCA. Marlin seems like a reputable company but they are definatly strongarm as to payments and no help with PCA. They will hold our feet to the fire and expect back like new equipment after 60 months in a restaurant environment. Ouch.
