- babeserino| 1 replyNo idea what call is about, call answer throws out number as 000-000-0000
- Martin| 1 replyI've been called now for about 5-6 weeks almost every day from the above number. No identification provided except that the call is from NCN. When I call back I always fall on a voice mail but as per their office hours (M-Saturday) they are suppose to be opened.
Any input guys as to who they are and what I can do?
Thanks everyone.- Caller: NCN

- pinkoi am getting daily calls from 866-606-6904 too. unsettling. this info really helped. thanks.
- been buggedI once got a call from this number in the early summer of 2007. The indicated that they were collecting on a student loan, but would not send any documentation and expected me to simply send a check. Interestingly enough, the bank that I had the student loan with indicated that 1) they had written off the amount owing 2) was not familiar with this company. They have recently started leaving messages again and I have opted to ignore them.
- BigmackThis number is getting to be too much. They call 3 and 4 times a day and hang up. I called Bell Canada and they can not trace it to anyone. When you call back all they say to leave a message and they don't give you a name or nothing. Any idea what to do? It's getting very annoying.

- daremedyI've been getting calls off and on from this number for about 2 months. I'm sure its a phishing scam to get your personal information and/or money. I called the number back from my secure work line not my cell phone that they've been calling and got the NCN voicemail thing. First of all, any company worth its salt with an 866 number doesnt have voicemail. When asked to leave my name/number I hung up, its just a tactic for them to get your info. If they traced the number I called them with, they'll have my secured government work number, which I dont think they'll want to start harassing. I dont owe anyone money, I've never taken out a loan, perfect credit and fully own everything in my possession. So if this is a collections agency, they're after the wrong guy, so I'm sleeping easy. You should too. Whatever you do, just avoid picking up their calls or calling them back, make them think you dont and never existed. They'll give up.

- ThomasI'm sorry this is long, but I've put 2 and 2 together here:
It's a recorded message that I got once, (yesterday,) and I hope to not get it on an ongoing basis, but I think I know where it may have come from. The message itself says, "We have an important message for you, please call us back at 1-866-606-6904. Again, we have an important message for you, please call us back at 1-866-909-6904." I figured if the message was so important, they would a)be willing to state their company name and b)be willing to dedicate a live person to the call.
That's why I'm here, becuase I decided to look it up for the reason of not trusting this random message. As for where it came from, it seems to be this company NCN that you guys are talking about, but then where are they getting our numbers from?
I don't know if anyone else has heard of Culumbia House DVD Club... I know they have a coffee brand, but a DVD Club? I had never heard of them until I started recieving a bunch of junk mail that I subsequently ingnored and threw out. Then one day I get a plain looking envelope and opened it not knowing right away that it was from them. Imagine how surprised I was to find out I was being billed for the distinct priviledge of recieving junk mail from a "company" that I had never heard of.
I assumed, (evidently with too much faith,) that this was a mistake and sent them a letter informing them of the error. Their response was highly unreasonable. They refused to help me and not only did they postulate that I owed them a fee for a membership I never wanted, but also that as part of the membership contract I was "obligated" to buy some number, (I don't remember how many,) of $30 DVDs from them. They also informed me that prolonged failure to pay and meet the obligations, (since I could tell by now this was not a legitimate company, I opted to simply ignore this "warning" and all other correspondence from them,) would result in me being transferred to a collection agency. Appearently this is the agency of choice for them.
So, if you have had a similar problem with either this organisation or some other potentially shady organisation, that may be the cause of the calls you are getting. Since they have no legal ground to stand on, it is in fact best to just ignore them until they give up. If they send you anything by mail, you could also put "moved/deceased, return to sender" in big bold lettering. If they were legitimate companies, they would not be so desperate to get your personal information, they would already have attained it via legal means, (ie. with your consent,) and we would have at least some vague concept of who they are.- Caller: Was not left.

- Anjan1-866-606-6904 number is probably NCN...NCN is a scam company, here is some info about the company:
COMPANY PROFILE
NCN are industrial leaders in scamming and harassing people. They tend to 'make up' stories about debts and try and collect money from you. They are similar to the door to door energy salesman. One piece of advice to the NCN executives: You are better off cleaning dog poop, at least you are doing SOMETHING good for the community...
MISSION
NCN's mission is to make people's life as miserable as possible. They find suckers and try to get as much money as possible from them.
How can NCN make a difference to the community?
I have a dog that continuously poops on floors. I want some cleaners to clean my floor every time it poops. I am ready to pay NCN executives $11 an hour for this job.
So...what to do when NCN calls you?
Pick up every call. Every time they want to 'discuss' some scam debt, tell them that you have dog poop to be clean and ask them to send an executive to clean the dog poop. Tell them you are ready to pay $11 an hour.
We can turn this company into a poop company to help our society... It is all in our hands... :)- Caller: NCN

- ChristyI received a call from this number as well. They were calling for my boyfriend but I had to take a message. I did speak to a real person on the phone who lied and told me that she was calling from the Region of Waterloo Court Services to make it sound more serious. She gave me the number of 1-866-606-6904 to call back with an extension and case number. I called the number back it was NCN, a collection agency. I guess they'll go to any lengths!

- GregThis company keeps calling looking for someone named Darwin. I called the number back and spoke with a gentleman and told him I have no idea who this person is and he apologized and said he would update the file and remove my number from his list. Since then, the phone calls have stopped. Imagine that.
If you owe them money, either settle the amount and pay them or tell them they have the wrong phone number. Failing that, just tell the person you don't want to be contacted by telephone and to correspond only via postal mail. That will stop the calls too.- Caller: NCN

- J QSince the last 2 weeks, I have received several messages from a number 1-866-606-6904 NCN indicating that it is very urgent call and requires immediately attention, he left ext. number, John name and reference or case number. However I called them today and I left a message.

- ShelleyI have been contacted by 866-606-6904 as well as 866-606-6904 numerous times over the last two weeks. From the 6904 number they leave a message stating that I have outstanding debts from student loans, leave a file number and phone number and hang up. News Flash idiots, I do not have any student loans. They were paid in full 20 years ago in full, got the paperwork to support it.
From the 6903 number they claim that I apparently owe money to Bell Canada. Second News Flash, I have never dealt with Bell Canada, for TV or Phone. After 6 days of calling them back, I finally got through to a very rude and ignorant dumba** receptionist named Stephanie, Took me about 3 seconds after she told me I had to pay the bill or else, that I snapped on her sorry a** and informed that the conversation was being recorded and that here that here in Saskatchewan most people have cell phones with Sask Tel and that I never ever dealt with Bell at all. If she wished to take it there I would not put up with her bull**** and report this to the Better Business Bureau, and then the RCMP. I told her to promptly remove me from their calling list. She then tried to push farther by telling me that she dared me to go to the police, so I did, gave the police the recording of the conversation too.- Caller: EOS NCN

- TetrusThere is a statute of 2 years on unpaid bills. They cannot do anything. If they say they are taking you to court, let them. This happened to me and they judge threw it out of cpurt. It will be on your credit for six years and then be erased.
