Appears to be a debt collection company that's too chicken s@#$ to id it's self!

I do agree this debt collector is HORRIBLE.  They left a message at my job.  Not that something like that would bother me, but they informed my job that they were attempting to collect a debt.  Since when is it ok to inform employers of employees personal matters?  The message stated Sharon Kay called today regarding a debt needing to be collected on.  She is following up on a letter she sent to you.  Her number is 866-611-3851.  That is just ridiculous!  What happen to looking up a persons phone number.  Mine happens to be listed in the phone book.  Or is that a little to much effort to put into your job.  Or leave a brief private message...It's simple at that.  Just because a person gets set back on paying bills doesn't mean they want the whole world to know there personal problems.  I happen to be a very private person and don't discuss anything with coworkers or my boss.  This company has no ethic and the employee needs to be reprimanded.

It is ILLEGAL for a collection agency to call your work place, leave a message about the purpose of contact with anyone other than you, or not immediately identify the company represented. It is also illegal for a collection agency to call after you have expressly asked them not to in writing. $500-1500 fine per instance. Do your research on the internet - there is tons of information available about your rights.

Next time someone calls you - let them know this and that they are never to call again and are only to contact you via the mail at your residence.

I returned Sharon Kay's call and when I asked for the name of the company, she said there are several companies in the office. She said it's an attorney's office and they handle several collection accounts. Mine was over a bill with Vatterott College, the name of the collection agency was American Collection Systems. I searched and found a few different companies under that name, but I'm not sure that they were the same place that was calling me. Hope this info helps.

866-611-3851 has called me at least twice, possibly more times.  I have no debt that is outstanding in any way, verified by credit check.  I have only had this cell phone since xmas and I have only made one call with it to one non-parental person. I have never given the number out... But I keep getting calls from random people every time I leave it on.  I don't bother to answer them as I know they are nothing I care about and not for me.  They are very annoying.

This # called me & is a collection company called ACS, the number comes up on my phone as Luis Gozzer.They are attempting to collect a debt from Sanford Brown. I found out that its a college. I had my identity stolen a few years ago & im thinking this is part of that. WOW! Is that what identity thevies do now a days, get a college education? Regardless, im tempted to call them back & let them know that I WILL NOT be paying any school loans back, seeing as i did not attend this school.

These people keep calling me and leaving voice mails.  I am not using up my minutes by listening and want the calls stopped.

i get the same thing!!!!! but i get a call from a blocked number as well so i have gotten use to checking the id before i answer.... i think it is the same company, because i get the blocked call then i get the 1-866 call... either way i wanted to find out who it was and if i am only one.... now i have!!!!!! the thing that pisses me off is they've already reported this as a loss, but yet their calling me to get more money.... [***] when my clients don't pay me i usually don't even get to report it!!!!!! i'm a freelance artist, i do a variety of creative work... allot of times i don't get paid, well sometimes.... where's my stimulus package? this whole system of milking the poor sucks.... and the government is either involved or don't care.... more so i thing one party is funded by crap like this and the other party isn't ballsy enough to stand up and say something!!!!!!!! either way i'm broke, i'm tired, and i'm pissed!!!!!!! all i want to do is suport myself and create!!!!!! what's so freaking wrong with that?

I got a voicemail yesterday at 11:30am saying my name is located in her office on file with a lady name Nicole, and I'm thinking why would my name be on file???? I was going to call them back the next but I find out who's calling. So I looked up online, found a huge site on the number and now I have an idea who's calling. I havent called them back. I'll let them keep calling. I have no debt on file as I know of.

My 82 year old mother keeps getting calls from this number.  Now the message they leave states her name, which is odd because the cell phone is not in her name and she has never given the number to anyone other than family.  My mother owes no debts.  I first thought the calls were probably from when my daughter had the phone, but when they started using my mother's name I knew it wasn't.  That phone has been in my name for at lease 10 years.  When my daughter got her own phone I kept this one to give to my mom in case of an emergency.  I have no idea how they could have gotten my mother's name connected to this phone.  As you can imagine, it is driving her crazy.  Guess I will just have to get the number changed, but no telling whose calls she will get then.  Very frustrating!

Yea got one of those calls today from a one Xavier Beal and was asked to ,please return the phone call need to discuss a pressing matter with me as soon as possible..Most of the time when someone calls me unavailable I just dont even answer..cause if you HIDE from me then Ill more than likely HIDE FROM YOU ALSO...LOL..and most of the other time when they try to leave a message on my answering machine I either turn it off and just let it keep ringing and they eventually hang up on thier own or I'll pick up and hang up in the middle of thier message...they call right back and I start the process all over again..til THEY get tired...LOL
