FRAUD!!  Be careful.   They called and left a voice mail saying they were from a fraud protection service for my master card account.  I called back and the automated system wanted me to enter my full 16 digit card number before I could speak with a representative.

Fraud. Left message regarding Barclay's master card which I do not have

They just called me too "MasterCard fraud protection service". At least it was on my cell number and I just added the number to the block list.

Just received this call saying barclay fraud dept  world  mastercard also its a scam.

Msg said they were from World Mastercard "Fraud Protection"  I checked my account online and there were no warnings or suspicious activity.  This sounds official, but they clearly are NOT what they sound like.  Ignore and beware!

I got a call from this number. Then I called my mastercard number on my card. I cancelled my card. I got a new one on the way. Its a scam. No one there called me. Becareful

Just received a call from I did not say anything when I answered but recording kept repeating itself that I needed to call back due to fraudulent activity on my checking  account.   I do not have a  World MasterCard... "Fraud Protection......Really....I believe this is some type of fraud to get you credit card number.    Be aware of giving any information to these types of calls.  

Look What I came up with when I typed in the phone number 866 611 7737...... Strange....Be Alert People.  Lots of con artist out there.

Same as the above. I logged on to look at my account, and there were no new messages. Did not call back. Will block number. Thanks for the other posts above. It does sound authentic.

Just received a call from them also about the mastercard fraud alert. Very convincing message, but it wants you to enter your mastercard number.

don't have a mastercard and got this message, so obviously its a fraud, everyone is taking advantage of obama administration incompetence,

tried to call mastercard to report this fraud but since i dont have a card i can't speak to a real person so i hope they get ripped off good, worthless gd banks

just received the call...and  this forum helped figure out the truth.

Has to be a scam.  Called them back, got a recording asking for my credit card number before I could talk to an agent.  I don't even have a card with Barclays.  Plus my caller id said it was a call from "Senior Claims Management" or some such...said they "were locking my account due to fraudulent activity".  

I called it too and they would not allow me to get to real person.  Then the number was disconnected.

Just got same voicemail from 866-611-7737 claiming to be a credit card monitoring service and potential fraud activity.  Called bank and they indicated no such activity on my mastercard.

Just got this call on my cell. I never answer calls I dont know and always come here to get info. I have to wonder if this has anything to do with all the recent stolen info. Knowing that people would be concerned they think we will let our guard down.

866-611-7737.  Female robot said my MasterCard world account may have a hold.  Said to get on BarclaycardUS.com and check on my account.  Sounded real, so I put in my 16 digit card no. to check on the account.  Is this fraud?
