Call looking for my ex-sister-in-law.  Mark S. said she used me as a reference.

Called home left message.  Called at night and I answered the call - wanted Cynthia Catron - Mark Summerville was caller - insisted she had given my number as a contact number.

Mark Summerfield has called a neighbor stating that I gave them as a reference and would they tell me to call him. It made no sense at all since a reference is for asking things about the person providing the reference not to deliver messages to the neighbor.

I called him. He is a collector for Citibank. Very rude and so, so nosey about all my personal business. He insisted that my house was very large based on my credit report prices and demanded that I pull over from traffic to talk with him. I was on a cell phone while driving. Illegal in WA state. I told him I was going to hang up, to avoid a traffic violation. He was really upset.

I intend on contacting his supervisor to report his arm twisting, shadey practices.

Tell him nothing about whom he is asking. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a phone number for the supervisor of Mark Summerfield. I want to report him as well but the only phone number I have is his.

Jim Murphy called asking for a "refernce" about someone I barely know - turns out he really doesn't want a refernece, he just wants contact information because he is a bill collector...

The Northland Group, 952-835-2283 or 866-613-2091 . These guys are bill collectors.  Bill collectors are very resourceful (more like deceitful) and get information from you in unethical ways.  They justify their existence because they take the attitude that the person not paying their bills is actually the unethical one.

The bummer for the rest of us is that WE get harassed when we had NOTHING to do with it.  They hope this puts pressure on the bill-defaulter to call them back and work something out.

Beware of what you say - their problem has NOTHING to do with you!
