Just received a call from this number although it came up as "Unknown Number" so I sent it to voicemail. Man saying his name was Paul from the offices of NACC - whatever that is. Just said to call back and ask for extension 1331. No other information.

Just received a call from this number.  Caller ID showed "Unknown Number".  I did not answer.  Voicemail was a man saying his name was Paul from the offices of NACC and that he had me a settlement offer, just call back and ask for ext 1331.

I got a letter in the mail. titled NBC MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC PRIVACY NOTICE
Saying they are going to collect info from me and sell it. Said I could "opt out" if I call 866 615 6222
turns out it is .NCB Management Services Debt Collection Agency | NCB

Don't call them. They are trying to get you to call them to ackniwledge a debt you may not owe. What they should be sending you instead is a DV letter, proving you owe the debt. Another collection agency tried this sleazy backhanded tactic after we disputed an out-of-statute debt with them wanting us to "Veify our 'account' information" with them. Bottom line is--the debt was invalid from the getgo because they refused to validate and they KNEW it.

We threw the letter in the garbage and never heard from them again.

"IF they do not provide you with the verification of the debt, the debt is invalid and not subject to collection.  PAY NOTHING TO ANYBODY UNLESS THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH WRITTEN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT, AND ONLY THEN IF YOU FEEL THE DEBT IS VALID - otherwise, let them sue you for the debt, as a real law firm will only bring a legal action on a truly valid debt".
