Someone keeps calling asking for your phone number. They will not disclose any information about there business

I got a call from this number but it showed up on my caller ID as 514 only.

Started an automatic tape in my voice mail starting in French and then not disclosing information like the person above said.

I receive calls from 506-657-8571 EVERY SINGLE DAY with a French/English message instructing me to call this number. I called back on 09/27 and instructed them to remove me from their list. The lady stated that I did not have to be so rude, and then hung up on me.

Exactly as the others said, i asked who was phoning and they started hollaring at me to give them *my* name. Very abusive person on the other end.

its a collection agency, most likely because of PaYPal

I called them back today, because they've been calling for my ex ( of 8 months ago, who I don't have a forwarding number for) and got hung up on numberous times. Then told that they'd keep harrassing me until I apparently STALKED him and got a phone number.

Same as mentioned by others above. We googled and brought us here. My question , how do we get rid of them

These people have been calling for about a week,every day.I first googled then phoned.After the web search brought me here I called to find out more info(if possible).The company is called NCO they are a collection agency for E-bay and Paypal.You can find their web site by google.

I got called by this number twice per day for over 2 months. They reported that I owed Paypal money. I simply sent them a registered letter asking to have this dept challenged in court. The calls stopped shortly afterwards.

Got a call from this number, asking for a person by name, did not believe me when I said that there was no person by that name at this address, would not give any information about the company

I recently moved in to a friend's apartment while they left the country for a year, this was one of the many numbers that requested the former residents to call back for some collection agency. They leave a reference ID number and there is a bunch of other french number jibberish. When I called back it was hard to get through using the English menus, I finally got through with the French menus to find out they wanted money from my friends.

Who do they collect for?

I have an unlisted number, which I only use for outgoing calls; there are no services that contact me that way, but I got called a few minutes ago. The caller  display shows 'out of area'. The message is heard in french first, then in english. 'please call us back at this number'.

So what happened after did you go to court or didn't ? contact me at felt-in-love@hotmail.com I need help about this.

Received a couple of messages from this company. Googled the number and ended up here. I do not owe Paypal or E-Bay any money. Call started off in french, did not leave a name who message was for. Did not return calls. If they have the number, than they must have the address. All they have to do is send the info in the mail. When they call, it shows up private caller.May be some sort of a scam.

This is an automated service through NCO, a collection agency.  Do not try and get an answer by calling them ,,, I tried 5 times, waiting 1/2  with no answer. Instead call NCO at 1-866-545-9262. I did and actually talked to a nice young man who was very helpful. He checked the ref # and informed me that the amount had been paid in full and he didn't know why they had been calling. He informed me that he was in a different department than the number left on those annoying messages.  He also mentioned some other accounts under my phone number but the accounts where under someone else's name. He did two things;

1. Processed a stop call notice

2. Removed my phone number from the delinquent accounts in someone else's name.

Hope this helps,  I also strongly suggested that he let his manager know about the problems that I was having trying to contact 1-866-623-3584 and told him to tell the manager to google the number and take a look at the complaint posted. I also told him that this type of "service" does nothing for NCO's reputation.

I get a call from this number every single day too. It's just an automated message about "an important business call", and you actually have to sit on the phone waiting for this message otherwise there is just silence and you think it's a prank call at first (except now I know this number & just hang up now because there's no option to even talk to someone).

I called it back TWICE and was told my number would be taken off the list since the issue is with someone else, but after a few weeks, the calls begin again.

If it was really such an important business matter, there would a live person. I never take automated seriously.

Perhaps you should re read the post. It never went to court but she/he did threaten legal action. That's my take on her/his post. The threatening of legal action was enough to stop it.

This # called me every day and I have nothing to do with their biz

It is a Collection Agency for PAY PAL. They tried to question me, asking ME for MY phone number!! THEY called me!! They had erroneous information from PAY PAL, who obviously does not it's right hand from it's left. They need to start communicating between departments - I suggest perhaps using their Computers?!?  I will NEVER use ebay OR Pay Pal ever again, they are owned by the same man and forever wed to one another!

I keep getting a call from this number at least once a day every day for the last 4 weeks at least. Each time its a recorded message saying "this is a personal business message, please call back with this reference number" and a computer voice gives a number. I called back today and a man answered and I said I keep receiving this message, stop calling me. He asked for my number, I told him to look at his caller I'd and take it from there. He said he didn't have any caller id. I said [***]*t and he hung up on me.
