Several Calls...no clue - KNOCK IT OFFUnknown Caller with this number multiple times....[***]....
- olliecosmicRecording asks if they have reached a persons name. Collection call.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- JW replies to Fed UpI received a call from 866-635-4318 several times before they left a message. It was from Bank of America (assume the collections department, since we're late on payments)
- GMAN| 1 replyI am getting the calls at least twice per day, and the recording asks me to push a particular button if I am Schira Smilovosy (not sure of the spelling). Very annoying because there is no number to call back or someone to talk to. I am open to a workable solution. There must be a toll free carrier who owns this number.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Event reminder
- CC replies to GMANYes this is Bank of America, sometimes they leave a message to press one or two if this is you or not. About 3 weeks ago I entered into ther Hard Ship program which is for people who are having problems and they will set s lower monthly rate to be paid off in 5 years, they told me ingore their phone calls and letters since it takes awhile for their system to update.
- Graeme| 3 repliesI pressed "ignore" to send the call to voicemail. The only message that was left was "Thank you, from Bank of America". (Apparently, my phone number once belonged to a deadbeat.)

- MPKeep getting calls from this number and no message.
- Sophie DunnI'm finally up to date with my payments with B of A - the other numbers:814-234-7699,626-666-6754,469-201-4312,716-656-6677,888-283-9087 have stopped calling numerous times a day, finally - but now this one is at it. I finally picked up one of the above numbers, after paying online and told them I had paid.
If they'd only leave a message; Who on earth these days will provide their mother's maiden name or SSN to an "Unknown" caller with a toll free caller ID? If it came up as Bank of America, then I'd have no problems. I can't believe they would think these days anyone would, but they asked. I refused to provide the info, just that my account is paid up to date and was told if that is indeed the case, to rest assured the calls would stop. But now another BofA number is spam-calling.
NOW what do they want?????- Caller: Bank of America

- Jamiee876| 2 repliesThey call me six times a day. They say that I owe late fees. I make a payment every month and they posted it late once therefore I am being punished. I get a late fee every month because of it. I spoke with a man when they called me at 6:11 am. He said that even if I went into the bank building to pay it that could still be posted two to three days late. I was very angry with that answer and he was very smug. So here we go. I've called them multiple times and they've hung up on me. I was just informed that my payments have jumped from $24 to $80 per month and the harassing phone calls will not stop because of that. I've begun calling them now, which by the way the way they do not like it....especially when you cuss at them. They don't like and hang up on you. I just keep calling back...why not right? They're calling me, burning my phone lines up 6 times a day. I can do the same on there end. And really guys, everyone could call them the 6, 8, 10 times per day just to say hello. How are you? Bury them in phone calls. I plan on doing it.

- Jamiee876I just spoke with another individual "Alicia" and she was going to assist me but continued to tell me that I was late. Here's the deal people, I failed to make a payment in August...it just slipped through the cracks. My payments are $24/mo and I pay $50. In Sept I paid $50. Every day since then I have gotten harrassing phone calls 6 times a day. The statements come in stating that I owe $80, $100 or more and always show a late fee. I'm thinking that they have been smoking something....that it will all fix itself in the wash. This is a huge story so I'm going to try to condense it, but basically I'm called a dead beat, I continue to be charged a "Late Fee" for each month, even though I pay my bill on time. But because I missed that month and didn't pay there late fee at that time I am, and will continue to be, charged a $29 or $30 fee for every month that it was not paid. It just continues to grow. "Alicia" and "Danny" with Bank of America have both stated that they can see that I make my payments on time every month, that I pay $50/mo, but because that one missed, I owe them more per month and my interest rate jumped to get this......24.98%. Can you say "THIEF" - "SCREWED"! Hey I was told that I am late again....oh my God! This is insane!!!!
I urge everyone to call them....call them.....call them....burn up their phones lines....be nice. Ask them how they are doing...just bug them. Make it so that they can't get their jobs done!!!- Caller: Bank of America
- AMR replies to Jamiee876| 1 replyReport them to Fair Trade Commission FTC
That's what I'll do. The more, the better. - Sunni| 1 replyI'm so tired of this number calling my house house all day long. Says they are Bank of America. Not sure what they want we don't bank with them at all.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- Anonymous replies to SunniBank of America owns FIA Card Services, who handle many credit card accounts, AmTrust for example. So it's quite possible that you have an account handled by FIA which would fall under BoA's purview.
- lamet replies to AMRContact the Office of Thrift Supervision. they are the regulatory agency for banks and when you file a complaint with OTS, the banks CANNOT IGNORE it they way they ignore their customers with valid complaints.
www.ots.gov
You can send you complaint via email and then print it out sign it and fax it to the OTS. They need your signature.
OTS helped me 2 times when WAMU and GEMB screwed with my accounts!
By the way - I found out about OTS by looking for it on the internet and via the Federal Trade Commission website
yes reporting them to the FTC helps as they compile complaint data for other agencies to review and find a pattern of bad business practices, but it does nothing to fix the current problem - that is why YOU MUST also file with the OTS.. - Listen upI receive a call from 866-635-4318 several times day and night. Says it's Bank Of America and that my account status has changed. They want me to enter in all my info prompted by a message including zip, ssn, etc. I hung up after they asked for my ssn.
I am in good standing with my BofA accounts, however, i called them (# provided on back of my card) to make sure. They said that they have no reason to be calling and nothing has changed my account status.
I suspect that since they are asking all personal info to be entered over the phone it is identity theft, not a bill collector as some have suggested. Please look into this for me.- Caller: Scammers

- Anonym replies to Graeme| 1 replyNot everyone who gets in trouble with a credit card company or a bank is a deadbeat. That's a real harsh label to place on someone when you don't know the circumstances.
