- Sally| 3 repliesKeep getting calls from this number - will not leave a message
- CastleCaller ID identifies them only as "TOLL FREE." I won't pick up, they won't leave a message. I'm guessing it's either a debt collection scam agency or some charity. But no one seems to know who they are yet.
- JimIt's the March of Dimes - They called a bunch of times so I finally answered.
- Caller: March of Dimes
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Yet Again| 1 replyBeen getting calls from multiple numbers that upon a quick internet search say are all from March of Dimes. This is just about the worst thing you can do if you want to get people to donate to your cause.
- Caller: TOLL FREE
- Grouchy grandmaThis number keeps calling my phone, but no one is ever there when I answer. It is VERY annoying! I have called them back only to get a message saying they are sorry they missed my call. If they ever do talk to me, I will NEVER donate to them because they are such a nuisance!
- Caller: March Of Dimes
- ML WilsonAnnoying to answer only to have no one speak. Happens repeatedly
- PojunkI'm getting several calls a week from this number & they never leave a message nor is anyone on the line if I hapen to answer. When I call the number it is a recording that says it's the March of Dimes, but I've contacted that organization to donate in the past, and this isn't them! If you go to the March of Dimes official website (marchofdimes.com) & check how to donate by phone, their number is 800-658-6674. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS SCAM!!!
- Caller: 800 Service

- MargThis number calls me several times a a day. Would like them to stop!
- NewCallerIDUserJust got a call at 11AM (EDT) from this number. I am trying to log as many of these calls as I can from different numbers on this site. Search for my name, NewCallerIDUser, to get an idea of how serious this problem is.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Oscar| 1 replyThe thing that's most annoying is that they are using multiple phone numbers. I'm only allowed to block up to a maximum of 6 numbers without having to add a service plan for more numbers. I'm not happy that at least 3 of those slots are being gobbled up by the March of Dimes. I haven't donated to them in 5 years; why can't they take a hint?
- Caller: March of Dimes
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- AnnAre you sure it is the March of Dimes? I'm having the same problem as everyone else and it is extremely annoying.
- Caller: I don't know
- JimHThese people are the usual fraudulent phonies that call from the same boiler room using different toll-free numbers and phony computer-generated numbers. They are beyond the last people on Earth that I would give a credit card number over the phone to. Most, if not all, of the funds collected will go to the so-called fund raisers. In addition, there is the real, and it happens every minute, risk that if you say $10.00, the bill will come back with $100 or $500, or more, charged to your credit card. You can complain to your credit card company, usually talking to someone in a foreign country that is nasty and hates Americans, and they will tell you to stuff it. The bottom line is to never give an unsolicited caller with an "Unavailable." "Out of Area," or anything similar, phone number your credit card data over the phone. I don't trust the websites of so-called charitable organizations either. If you really want to contribute to a charity, check out their expenses first, which can be obtained from IRS public records online. You will be utterly shocked to find that many of the supposed prominent, old line charities spend 90% or more of their contributions on exorbitant executive and staff salaries. It was also publicized on CNN that several supposed veterans charities collected millions and millions in donations, but did not give out single penny for the benefit of veterans. If you want to really donate to a truly worthy organization, contribute to your house of worship.

- Irritated landline owner replies to Sally| 2 repliesI found out if you call these numbers you can enter your phone number and they will take you off the list. This is the March of Dimes and I have never donated to them except maybe cash donation. This one was tougher first you have to enter 1 to hear more about them then I hit 5-7 random numbers quickly then a voice comes on asking for the phone number you would like taken off list. They state the law gives them 30 days but it has worked in the past so hope it will with this one.
