He was rude and aggressive on the phone. He is threatening me
with information that is not accurate and I will file against him for
many harassments over the phone calls. I do not know how he got my phone
number and address, but he won't tell me why; he won't even say anything
else like who is he calling for, who he is, what he needs. He keeps calling me with a caller I.D. of private number.
Mike Davis only gave me a phone number once which is (866)649-2044. He
told me to call them to give out my personal information. So BEWARE do
not give him anything unless they tell you all of your information they
have got.- Caller: US DEBT RECOVERY . ORG

- SmartPAcitizen| 1 replySomeone who NEVER identified himself called me from this number. He threatened that a suit would be filed in my county. He knew my name, address and phone number, all public knowledge and available from ordinary phone listings. He threatened to put a lien on my house, I don't own the property. He threatened that he had my job info, but never stated where I work. He gave me 24 hours to call him to settle out of court with a cash payment. All in all, a very threatening call. I do have a very old debt, that by PA law is no longer collectable. These guys apparently buy up old debt at pennies on the dollar and try to threaten you enough that you will send them a minimal payment, which starts the states time clock again. So, check with your state to find out when a debt is deemed uncollectable. In my state, PA, it's four years. So the original debt-holder sells the debt to lawyers and collection agencies who try to strong-arm the money from you. I will never return his call. But my son will have fun screwing with them if they call back.

- Sir Bedevere replies to dawn olsenIf you'll take a moment to read the earlier posts in this thread you'll find many descriptions of behavior that constitutes flagrant violations of the law committed by people calling from this number. So, yeah, I'd describe them as "bad experiences". Fraud. Extortion. Threats. Yep, bad experiences indeed.
- MJG replies to dawn olsenMust be a "wonderful???" company if they need to tell someone to write a good review for them.
- yef replies to dawn olsen| 2 repliesLooks like PEGGY has magically discovered her caps lock key. Crappy lies, shill!
- Nimrod replies to yef| 1 replyPEGGY probably just bumped it by accident. Considering that s/he can't find most of the other puncuation keys, I doubt s/he found the Caps Lock.
- Herman replies to PEGGYI TOO RECEIVED MANY, MANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER, TRYING TO MAKE AN [***] OF ME. I CALLED BACK AND WAS PUT IN TOUCH WITH A MAN WHO SAID HE WOULD BE MY PAYMENT OFFICER AND THAT COMPLIANCE WOULD BE OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE. FROM HIS TONE AND DEMEANOR I HAD NO OTHER OPTION THAN SUBMISSION. HE TOLD ME I COULD EITHER PAY BY BANK TRANSFER IMMEDIATELY BUT THAT THERE WOULD BE AN EXTRA TRANSACTION FEE IN DOING SO OR, A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY COULD COME TO MY HOME AND IMPLANT A MICROCHIP IN MY HEAD THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR IMMEDIATE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM MY ACCOUNT TO THEM DIRECTLY. HE ASSURED ME IT WOULD BE PAINLESS AND UNDETECTABLE AND COULD BE DONE PAINLESSLY AND IN FIFTEEN MINUTES. I OPTED FOR THAT AND IM GLAD I DID CUZ NOW THEY LOG IN TO MY BRAIN CHIP AND KEEP ME ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW WITH MY PROMPT PAYMENTS. AS FOR ME, IM CARE FREE AND HAVE NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT MY DEBTS KUDOS!
- Herman replies to NimrodNo no no, if one has a debt collection microchip implanted in the head, finding and using proper grammar and punctuation can be difficult. Typing in ALL CAPS is an involuntary response and is a dead giveaway that a chip is present.
- MickThese guys sent rude letter threatening litigation and also called several numbers (cell, work, home) and left messages threatening legal action. But the amount they claim is owed is from a debt almost 10 years old!! So either they are going to actually follow-through with the threats and sue and then I'll have to deal with the pain of getting the case dismissed due to being a time-barred debt, or they are all talk and will go away.
I feel bad for people who aren't familiar with how these debt collectors work. Threatening to sue but not actually suing is against the law but these debt collectors get away with it all the time. Suing for debt they know is beyond the statue of limitations could be violation of FDCPA (depends on your state) but most people get nervous or scared and just settle when they see the lawsuit, or worse, they let it go to default judgment.
I hope anyone doing a number look-up reads this comment and if your debt is beyond the statue of limitations in your state, you will win any court case hands down, no matter what. Don't let them collect any payment from you, even a small amount like $10 or $25 on some payment schedule will reset the clock on the statue of limitations. Don't let them do the old-debt-re-age-scam on you!- Caller: US Debt Recovery
