Called yesterday stating I have to appear in court in some other state

1-866-650-1858 - Called tonight stating they are about to put a judgment against me for a PDL from 2005. I told her I wanted a settlement in writing since this is the first I've heard of this company and she got ugly, stating "Well I will put in your notes that you got hostile and that you refuse to pay and we'll file judgement. Have a nice night, goodbye."

Said they are CAB or CAV Asset Management?? Never heard of them, Google turns up nothing.

Who is this company?  Does anyone know. They keep calling me and asking to call them back with an extension and case number. I called it back and I think they said it was CABS???  Anyone else have some information on this?

My parents were getting this "Stephanie Miller" calling from CAB Asset Management X103.
It has been going on for over a month and I just happen to be there when they called this morning.
I called back around four hours later and Stephanie answered...this time it was Stephanie Moore...
She said she worked for lawyers that were filing judgements on bad debt and when I proceeded to
ask for her address and correct company spelling, she got somewhat agitated.  I informed her that
I want all further communications by mail and that I was sending a letter to her as a hard copy to
confirm this.  She then stated that she would have her lawyers get a judgement, blah, blah, blah.

She broke about three or four laws just in our short conversation.....I'd say they are bottom feeders!!

just got a call from them saying they will not provide any information on the debt but if i dont pay them today they will have the sherriff come to my house and take my stuff after filing a claim in court against me , very rude , First time they called and they said its a time sensitive matter that my time for any kind of payment or settlement ends today at noon , they called at 9 am

They are calling our relatives, asking for my husband. Which is illegal

Got call identifying themselves as the Dallas (Texas) County clerk's office, asking for daughter's number.

A Mr. Mason from CAB Asset Management Called today he said I owed 108.00 from 2005 and he wanted to resolve a situation or I will be charged fees and they will take this matter to court and then I will have court costs on top of what they say I owe.....I don't remember ever using this company...he also spoke very nicely  in the  beginning of the coversation and at the end was rather irritable and agitated, when i would not give him a checking account number or credit card number.....threating....He says I live in a state where the laws allow agencies to take people to court

I received several calls from Brad who said that he had a file pending in my county clerk's office with my name and SSN on it.  The matter was urgent and that I return his call.  The problem is he doesn't have my phone #. The number he is calling belongs to relatives.  I did not call but went to the internet to find out who CAB Asset Management is which is where I found this site.  I will not call him back!

They say I owe a debt to US Bank, for less than $200, which I do, but I will never ever pay. They called me twice in one day, to which I replied, I cannot talk not, I'm busy. They called a third time "private" call this time, trying to be sneaky I suppose. I answered and said very upset, that I am at work do not bother me. She then hung up on me. Next time I will ask for their address and state for them only to contact me by mail, and send a letter stating this as well. If that doesn't work, perhaps change my number. These people are harrassing me.

At first I questioned them because I couldn't find anything on the internet except this website. I requested proof of the PDL they were calling on and proof they were legitimate.  They provided both and explained the reason they're not on the internet is because they are new and just started operations 2 months ago.  PDL's can result in judgement and wage garnishments unfortunatley I learned this the hard way.  After they confirmed who they were I made payment arrangements to care my PDL and actually settled it for less than what I owed.

I have a feeling the last guy who commented probably works for the company!

I got a call from this number at a relatives home! It was a man. He said he was making a courtesy call prior to my being contacted by an attorney who was going to file charges...or a judgment against me for for a loan in my ex's name.
I was trying to speak and tell the man that it was not my debt and I even have a court order signed by a judge stating this.
The man became abusive and rude...he WOULD NOT allow me to speak. He went on and on until I finally had to hang up on him.
After that, I took the phone off the hook for about an hour. When I hung the phone up, the man called back 4 times in a row. The relative whom I am visiting answered the phone the first three times and just hung up the fourth time.
The relative told the man calling that he could not help him and hung up on him.
I am going to follow the advice I have seen so far. I will not , (nor will my relative) speak to these people ever again.
I do know this kind of harassment is illegal and we are not going to participate!

these scumbags just called me at work saying I owe some out of state bank $1200 but would settle for $700...I told them to send me the offer in writing, but they refused.  They are nothing but some Nigerian scammers!

Well, did they do what they claimed?

an agent called my phone she provided the name Darcella Flanigan and informed me that they had served me with papers to appear in court I asked them how was that possible the lady I spoke to the day before told me they sent the paper work to an address that I have not lived in in two years. She never bothered to ask for the new address. I then informed her that i paid this loan in the amount of about 500.00 on a 200.00 loan and that I have bank statements she gave me 24 hrs to return her call. of course I work and cannot get the info with in 24hrs so I am going to call back and inform her she is going to have to wait until I recieve the paper work from the bank lets see how that goes.

Dave from CAB [***] Management has been calling me for the past month.  He says that it is a time sensitive matter, they have my name and social security number for a case that is going to court, please call today.  I did not believe it, chose to wait for the summons.  Summons never came. Today, they sent a form to my workplace for "voluntary" verification of employment.  My supervisor showed it to me and we both decided that since it was voluntary, we would not volunteer any information. If they had all the information they claim to have, why would they need verification?   I live in Ohio. They do not call me at home only at work.

My mother in law received a call from this company saying they were trying to reach me. The mans name was Chris with an extention number of 101, he gave my mother in law an account number and told her that this matter was going to court either way. I do not accept toll free numbers, but have noticed this number on my id several times and several times in a row. The phone number was 866-650-1858.

I got to talk to Dave today.  Dave from CAB Asset Management.
Phone: 866-650-1858.  After verifying last 4 digits of Social Security number said I had to talk to the legal department.
