Received a call also, 11/21/12 , no message and no call backs as of Dec 5th 2012

Caller left a voice message, looking for Accounts Payable.

Called my business and it was a recording so I hung up.

Left a message stating they are Xcel Energy. I will not call a number that is not on their bill. Called phone number on Xcel statement to verify why they called and they stated that this is NOT one of their phone numbers-it is a scammer. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO WHOEVER THIS IS!!!

They called and left a message for accounts payable, someone said this is for xcel but we are not behind on our accont so that makes no sense at at..

Called our business. CID only said TOLL FREE. Nobody was on the line.

Left a voicemail saying they were from XCEL Energy and looking for the biller or person account payable.    This was not a number listed on Xcel website and I haven't had an Xcel account for over 3 years since I moved out of MN.       Interesting scam, BEWARE!!

Called twice with a pre-recorded message to my office phone. "This is an urgent message from Xcel Energy for [NOT FOUND] or Accounts Payable."  They actually said "NOT FOUND" in lieu of a business or name.  Seems their automated system is falling behind, and even the spam doesn't work.

This number call me twice a day with a recorded message. Probably a scammer. THIS IS NOT Xcel.

Called this morning at 0814 MST.  No message left.  Probably a scammer.

I received an email that looked like an actual Xcel Energy logo, but had inaccurate info for account number.  I looked up the associated telephone number and found this page - also found a link on the real Xcel website for current scams.  Do not click on the email link!  Forward the email to: CustomerService@xcelenergy.com

Update - The above number is an Xcel Energy customer service phone number, my email was an actual bill from Xcel.  If you are concerned, always call Xcel to verify, but when I did that, I did receive verification. 866-672-3908 is Xcel Energy as of Feb 2018.  Stay safe out there!

Called and didn't leave a message

Just received 2 phone calls so close together that they appeared to be one set of phone ringing....
Caller ID read +86 66723908 China
Voicemail: "This message is from Xcel Energy for ____. Please call us at 1-866-672-3908 by 6 pm Central Standard Time today.  Thank you."
I don't know anyone in China, but I do have an Xcel Energy account; however, I'll only call the customer service number listed on my bill: 1-800-481-4700

866-672-3908 is a scammer posing as XCEL they con people all the time. STAY AWAY

It will call you, read you the recorded message even with your name, to call back at this number by some time.
Please DON'T CALL BACK. THIS IS A SCAM!
