I am never home when this comes in but a woman named "Mrs. Stella" keeps calling my house and telling my children that i have to call her back it's very important...
after a few weeks of playing phone tag, this Mrs. Stella is a collector for old bell canada accounts?

Same exact message I got about it being personal matter but never stated the company name or anything. I have no outstanding Bell accounts.. so I smell BS...

I was told that this is a personal matter from a person named "Nadine" who called at 7:30 AM and said she was from T.D. Canada Trust.

UPDATE
I called TD Canada Trust and they were unable to verify this phone number.  They told me that they usually call during business hours.  When they tried to call this number back, they told me that it doesn't prompt for the department as per their practice, the phone number when called only leads to an answering machine prompting you to leave a message.

I just got a call from a guy at this number looking for someone who doesn't live here (Andrew Karl?? I think).  I told him that he's got the wrong number.  He then started to ask me how long I have lived here.  I asked who he is and what he was calling about.  He said it was a personal matter with Andew Kaarl and that it was none of my concern, then thank you and hung up.  The extremely bad attitude and lack of willingness to give out any information is what made me google the number.  Probaby doesn't help much but best guess would be some kind of collection agency.

This number called me today and left a message on my machine. I was suspicious because the caller: spoke fast, didn't give a reference number and said it was a "personal matter".
I called TDCanadatrust about this number. Easy line couldn't verify the number but their collections department could: it's a collection agency used by them.

Collections are bound by guidelines, even if they don't like to think they are.

I've moved several times in the last few years so no real consistancy with phone numbers, and my old boss from a job i had in university (over 3 years ago) keeps getting calls from "Evelyn" and its a personal matter is all she keeps telling my boss and the first time left 1-800-675-4474 and this most recent time left 1-866-675-4474 and always an extension and reference #... and i try to call it back and get a message "the number you are calling cannot be reached from this calling area"... seems all really strange

got a call from this number yesterday and they called my boss today....they say they are calling from the Government of Canada however when my boss pushed further was advised that they are calling from CNC......have not idea what any of this is about however when I called the number back you get a message saying "the number you are calling cannot be reached from your calling area".....all seems a little suspicious to me. I just checked my messages and yes a woman  named Jenny left message to phone 1-866-675-4474  and left extension #   -  weird - also had my correct last name bur wrong first name.......
I decided to check out number on line and see your postings - I do not intend to return call

I have a neighbour in my building with the same last name as me and she called me today and told me this Jenny called on numerous occasions and that today this lady asked for information about me my neighbour told her she would try and communicate Jenny's info to me her number was 1-866-675-4474 with ext 1028 and ref#)(*)(&? when I called the 1-866-675-4474 it answered NCN (Nor-Don Collection Network) I am writing this so you guys can know who this phone number is from. I hope it helps some of you to relaxe...lol

I am glad that I read these messages as I received this message from Jenny as well.  It did seem usual that someone would be calling on a Saturday!
