I didn't answer this unknown call. The phone rang just a few times and they hung up.

Called twice and gave a long spiel about being a radio ratings survey. Asked  personal questions about address etc. Way too slick and fast with the talk, made me very suspicious. No caller ID other than the 866 number.

Just rang a couple of times and hung-up. Had a call exactly like the one mentioned above last year except they wanted to know when we would be at home so that they could 'deliver our prize' we were chosen out of '10 000 numbers'.

Neighbour received same call.

Got a call from 866-677-7240 - the guy was a jerk - but I was so rude - that he had his buddy call back for the same thing - but this time it was from the local number and it turns out it is Artisian Custom Doors - there is also a place in markham by the same name - their number is (905) 470-2285

for the past two weeks now, 18666777240 has been showing up on my phone - everyday - and when I am at home and answer - they hang up.
For the past couple of days - I have gotten 3 calls each day - and again as soon as I say hello - its a hang up.  next time - I will use a whistle.

As I write this it is 12:33am.  I just recieved a hang-up phone call from 1-866-677-7240.  I have no idea who they are, but the idea of being woken up in the middle of the night by a toll free number isn't fantastic.

I just had my sleep disturbed by a telephone call from this telephone number 866-677-7240.  I should call the CRTC and lodge a complaint.  If this is a telemarketing call I am so pissed off.

i just received a call from the number 866-677-7240 and hung up as soon as i picked up the phone!  why so late at night???

It's 1:56 am and they just called my house, it rang once and that's it, but come on, a phone call in the middle of the night? I instantly thought something bad had happened to a family member or friend. My heart is still racing. This has to end!

I have received 2 calls from this number today. I didn't pick it up as my call display just reads "866-677-7240". I figured it would be someone trying to sell something or wanting to do a survey. Calls like this are bothersome.

i get called from this number 3 times a day, every single day of the week for weeks now. i don't answer but i'm totally fed up.  earlier in the year i was getting several calls a day from all over north america, no clue who they were.... i'm assuming they all want to know when someone is home so they can then sic their sales calls on us.

shouldn't the telephone companies be held responsible for allowing these types of callers? why should i have to pay to have the number blocked?

I just got a call from this number and it's after 10:00pm. Isn't it against the law for telemarketers to be calling after 9:00pm in any province of Canada? Or is that just for collection agencies? Pretty damned annoying to be called in the wee hours of the night as I've seen posted....jk

To Jk: I got a called from this numnber at around 6pm the latest. However, I have gotten a 9pm call from 877-289-5108 so if you're going to block the number, also block the one I just typed. I'm not sure if it's illegal, but I'm guessing it is because, that was the first time I got a late call from a marketing company.

Called 6 times in an hour 2:45  to 3:45 pm  November 9 - unknown caller.  Did not answer but left for answering machine to take the calls.  The answering machine calls were silent.

Called the number back. Got a recording saying it was Louise someone at BBM Canada, market research company. After the long spiel they disconnect. www.bbm.ca is their website!

The number 866 677 7240 just called my residence and it was one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had with a "toll-free" number...

Keeps calling my cell but I don't answer. I amon the do not call list so why do I still get these annoying calls.

we also received a call from this company at 8:30pm, we have reported them to the CRTC. I hope everyone else will do the same. Also if you want to email them info@bbm.ca hopefully they will stop these unsolicited phone calls

this number called my house twice today but I did not answer.. googled the phone number and found this page.  I have reported the number to the CRTC.
