- Mrs. CAsked for the person who wasn't there. I took a message. She was very professional and didn't reveal any details, simply that it was a private business matter. This person is a dear friend so I decided to investigate so she wouldn't call back blind. It's Citi Client--a credit card situation that I already know about as the person they were trying to find is my friend and she told me.
- Caller: Citi Client
- Call type: Debt collector
- Jim in Seattle| 7 repliesWas called on a cell number that very few people have. I do not give it out for business. However, I was called and they left a message to call back at this number. when I called them, a woman said they were Citi Client 1st and that they called me about my account. I told her Ididn't have a Citi Client 1s Account and she named off a bunch of sotres that have credit cards and Bank of America. Now when she said BofA I said well can't I just call the number on the back of my credit card. And she said sure, but the will just transfer you back to us.
I call BofA and told my story. They did not transfer me to Citi Client 1st and they did not need me to tell them any of my complete account numbers or phone numbers etc. They can get it all right from a few digits of the full number. the BofA person said these guys at Citi Client 1st were probably fishing for data. So be ware out there! - DeKeep getting calls from this number. They never leave a message and when I call back a woman with a southern accent answers and says she's calling from citi and they're located in texas. She said I don't have an "account" there. They keep calling anyway.
- ador l encarnacion| 3 repliesSoliciting all day and night.
- Robert Nogan| 2 repliesKeep calling, not leaving message.
- LoreleiIn a few days' time, I got a lot of messages from this number, both males and females saying "Hello? Hello?" and then hanging up. One was a male who simply did a long heavy sigh and hung up. After I googled this page, I called the number back and asked them what they wanted. Turns out last month's Citi Card bill never reached me, so I'd missed a payment. I don't know why this company lets its staff leave such unprofessional messages on answering machines.
- Caller: Citi
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sue| 1 replyI got a call and called back. They wanted account number, security password and soc security. After they couldn't find me in their system based on first bit of info, I got suspicious. Never give out any info to a number that calls you. I can't verify from Citi that they are a real dept.
- Caller: citi first client
- Call type: Debt collector
- Williamsburg Woot| 2 repliesCalling my cell phone twice a day. I have NEVER given my cell number to a creditor. I called the number from my landline and a guy with an India accent answered Citi Client First, and I hung up.
I have no relationship with them. Never heard of them. And now they are wasting my cell phone minutes. My cell number and landline are registered on the Do Not Call List.- Caller: Citi Client First
- BMR| 4 repliesthey have called several times during the day, so annoying so I dedcided to answer today. They ask for husband, when told he wasn't in, I ask what this regarded and was told that they only could speak to person they were asking for. Since we have no credit card with Citi Card, I figured it was someone fishing for information...beware!
- no nameI want these people to STOP calling me. I WON'T answer the phone. I know what they want. I am not the person they are calling, and I have TOLD them that, but they still KEEP call me.
- anom replies to Jim in Seattle| 4 repliesYou're a [removed:lang]who should pay your bills and get a brush up on comprehension skills. Citi handles many credit cards like shell and exxon, home depot, radio shack, etc if your [removed:lang] looked at your card you would have known that. Citi client first is a dept that deals with people who have more than one citi relationship. It's legit and I doubt the rep mentioned bank of america.[removed:lang]
- 4q2 replies to deleted postWe do pay our bills, it's these scammers who will rebill us for debts long paid.
- melissa| 1 replyPlease, please...how do we stop this caller from calling people every hour of the day? Is there a way to block calls from this number> I don't know what they want. They won't leave a message, they won't talk when I pick up, they won't stop calling @#%&!!!. It's been months !!!!
- Caller: (866) 680-8628
- johkur| 1 replyThey call all the time, and when I talk to them, they do rattle off store credit card names, and then tell me they don't know why they called me. I tell them to stop calling, and they do it over and over again. alot of the time, they call, the recording says to please hold, and then they say they are too busy, yet they called me! Doesn't seem legit or Citi is really a mess, calling customers and then having a recording saying they're too busy, they'll call back again. (and they do, again and again and again).
- Caller: Supposedly Citi
- autobuzzsawWhen these testicle droppings call, have a whistle ready & blow their eardrums out; that'll make them think twice before calling! Also, in regards to an earlier post by "ANON"; I googled that word and found out it's french, a combination of "dick" and "a$$hole"!!
- WCC replies to SueSue, when you get a call like this, call the 800 number on your credit card, not the one the person on the phone gives you...this should clear it up right away.
- kariThis number called both my cell and place of work at all hours. Claiming I have 2 accounts past due wanting me to make a payment immediately. Would not give me any information I asked for. Very irritating!
