i found out the is a scam they call and said i hot a hot check agas me banm had no record of it

This is a legit number and maybe people are complaining about this phone number because they dont want to admit they have a bill they owe?  This company was able to tell me my debt and the company I owed to. I was leary of calling them because of how they got in contact with me. They seemed to know my families phone numbers without me ever giving them out to anyone. So this number might be calling family members of people owing money but I guarantee this number is a legit debt recovery number.

I have also received a call from these people and they are saying that I owe a payday loan company that I have never had. I have never had a payday loan in my life. I admit to my debts (which are olny credit cards that I pay on time), so your statement isn't true Sheila and makes me wonder if this company is really legit and if so, why are they calling for me???

NO....THIS IS NOT A LEGIT DEBT COLLECTOR!!!!! I also have NEVER ad a payday loan or anything of the sort...all of my bills are paid on time and I budget so I don't need to take out scam loans......This company has called me non-stop (and my work) claiming they will file a judgement against me, that I am to appear in court soon, and that they are recording in their notes that I refuse to give them my address to serve me papers, etc. etc. Always threatening me.....I owe them no money......And when they said that I was refusing to give him my address and that's what he was writing in the notes...I literally was reciting my address over and over for him and told him to go ahead and send me these supposed papers and I'll be happy to appear in court. He said no I refused to give him the address and that I was going to be arrested for contempt of court and lose my kids and take my house, blah, blah, blah. I have argued with this company MANY times and they'll stop calling for a few weeks and then start back up again...GRRRRRRRRRR :/

Perhaps you have debt that is legit......but I do NOT. And these pricks have called me non stop threatening me. Legally they can NOT call family members EVEN if you do owe them money.

You people are ridicolous. This company is very legit. You people are just cowards/thieves and think you can deny the fact you owe money or took a loan out. Its pathetic how you hide. They where able to work a payment plan out with me around my income. Maybe if you called them and acted like adults they wouldn't have to call you so many times. Grow up and pay your debts people!!!!!!!!!!!

Your dumb butt just got scammed. These company called me regarding a loan and when I found the real number to the company they claimed they represent. They have never heard of them and also I had my lawyer check them out and he stated not give them a dime. Anything they say to you over the phone tell them to send that information in writing to my home address on their company letter head showing their address (not PO Box) and until this day they haven't. This is over four months now.

A guy named Guy Porter (probably a fake name) is leaving threating messages on my cell regarding a bounced check from my banking institution -- Wachovia Bank.  He demands I give him a statement over the phone otherwise he is going to file charges against me with the local authorities.  I laughed about this joke and as far as I am concerned, I could care less on false allegations.  First of all, I don't even bank with Wachovia, so bring it on.   I am a Probation Officer and the wife of DEA agent, I am referring your number to the Feds to have you checked out.  So Mr. Porter or whoever you are, I suggest you pack your bags and skip town before the Feds show up and kick your door down asking for your statement.  How's that!

To all my friends out there, be smart about about it, this is a SCAM ARTIST trying to get to your personal information.  So stay put and stick to your guns.  Don't talk to anyone over the phone, just hang up and if they keep calling, just ignore the calls and report this activity to your local authorities.

I just received a call from an Alan Davis.  He didn't say the name of the company, but said there was a matter that needed my attention or it would be sent to my sheriff's office.  I asked him to send a letter to my home stating what the matter he was contacting me about or whatever was.  He then told me that a letter had been sent (nothing has come to my house).  The funniest thing is that the caller ID number that came up was 716-508-3180, but gave the 866-680-9739 as his call back number.

Just now got a call at work... again...asking me to make a payment arrangement and that they could give me a settlement of 50%.  Again, I asked that a letter stating the company of my "original debt" be sent to my home.  He told me that I would probably be served with papers tomorrow at my place of employment.  The last time I checked, we did not have debtors prisons and I have contacted my local courthouse.  They have no record of anything being filed with them.  Also, about 6 months ago I was threatened with the same thing (and I have not been served with papers, or a court appearance etc...).

Thank you for this- I have asked them to send me information to my home.  Today he told me that he could e-mail the information to me.  I let him know that my bank is working with me to clear up my credit (and there is nothing on my credit report from the company that he is claiming to represent).

this phone number 1-866-680-9739 called my ex-mother in law's house# and said they needed to talk with me. I do not have time to deal with scam companies I have enough that call my cell but I do not answer the calls.

Received call. At first I was upset at first. These guys are legit. We called my bank on 3 way and my bank even told me there was a deposit into my account and that there were attempts of withdrawals but my  account was overdrawn. I set a payment that worked for me and now I pay every month. We have had no issues with them taking anything we didn't discuss prior. I think theres alot of bums in here...

Legit debt collectors don't leave threatening messages or taunt you with personal information on a voice mail box they don't know for sure is even yours.

It's you and the scam collection agents that need to grow up, junior.  Prove that the debt is legitimate. In writing.  To act like schoolyard bullies and demand money is far from mature.
