These folks hounded mercilessly last month, calling from this number.  The "discounts" I received were virtually useless, and while I expected to see one fo the charges that appeared on my credit card, there are now two other charges that have appeared that I cannot trace, so I am cancelling my card.

I just received this phone call about 5min ago and I was just researching the Super Savings company but I got this site. They offered me a card of $300 in gas and a something about a card that I can use at any store like Target or Wal-Mart. He said that I did not have to purchase anything only that I pay the shipping and handling at $4.95 at the time of receiving the package. I don't know if this is a fraud or it is real. He told me my address and that he had to confirm the expiration date on my Visa card and that was all. Should I trust this company?
The name of the telemarketer was Mike Wilson
The number from which he called from was 818-870-9159

He talked so fast I could not understand him. I told him I was driving and to just send the stuff in the mail so I could read over it. They then charged my credit card 187.60 and when I called to cancel it and give me my money back. They refused. I am now trying to get the back to dispute the charges.

I got a call from the co. called Orangewood, I told them they could send me info. about their service in the mail, they sent me a welcome to thier
services letter then took 135.00 out of my account, at no time did I give them my account no., and the letters I am receiving are mine and my fiance's names spliced together, not even a real nam, now today rdto wealth got us for another 47.00, and we had to cancel our cards, this co.
never even called us, and we recieved nothing from them, we called them they were rude, said the charge was non-refundable, and we were sent a cd
containing info. on it, we were not, and a cd should not cost 47.00!!!  We also have a letter from SupeSavings, snet to same fictious name, thankfully we already cancelled the card.

Do NOT listen to these jokers!  I consider myself pretty money and fraud savvy and they GOT ME!  Offered me a 50 percent discount at Walmart for "customer appreciation day".  Made me listen to a recording where I agree to three other charges for different services, then told me that NONE of that applied to me at all.  I was only being offered this because I shop online at walmart.com on a regular basis, (which I do).  Long story short, I had 90 dollars in charges to my bank account this morning, called their customer service phone number, and it's actually a phone sex number, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL.  Found the orangewood long distance number and they were able to cancel all of the accounts but could not refund my money.  I called the bank and completely canceled my debit card, which leaves me without one for a week.  I will NEVER purchase anything on the phone EVER again.  I feel like such a fool.  Don't let this happen to you too!

LOL i just hung up with the guy, and he even went to the trouble to get a "manager" on the line.  I insisted the "package" be delivered c.o.d. It is  one of the tag along things at the end of your purchase on buy.com.  (to recieve your 10% off on your next order thing)  It puts you through countless pages and pages of coupons and selections asking you to enter email addresses and phone numbers.  I entered bogus email addresses and entered only my business company phone #.  The guy insisted they got the information off my credit card used at target and wal-mart.  The funny thing is, the number on the cards I use at those stores is my home number.  once I tried to ask the guy (bout 3 times) how he got the number he called, he hung up.  I googled the two 866 numbers he gave me 1-866-682-7658 and 1-866-684-3931. It led me here. glad i didn't give my card info.

Yes- I had the same call just a few minutes ago- 3/4/09.
I stood firm to have the name of the company and an 800# and info. to look up and validate the company.
I asked where the company was based out of and they told me Phoenix, AZ.
I got a website out of the 'manager' verifying my info.
He said he wasn't suppose to give any info. until he verified my card info.
It was all bogus- because the companies have to do everything they can to make us feel comfortable- no one should ever just give personal info. over the phone-
I barely felt okay to give them my name and address.
It was the same exact offer- the $300 gas card and some discount card and the $4.95 S&h that would be due- but they needed a 'plastic' card to verify that I was a card user and that they had the right person.  The 'manager' got feisty when I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving my credit info. over the phone to a company I knew nothing about. He started trying to make me feel bad that he would lose his job b/c he trusted me and gave me his name and id# and the website for the company.
But I tried to look the company up while talking to him-and came up with this link as a choice.  I see nothing for a supersavingstoday company from phoenix az.  Never give info. over the phone no matter how 'valid' or good an offer sounds- if someone wants to give you something bad enough- they'll send it through the mail or give you links for you to verify the company.

Received call from telemarketer stating that they received my name from an online purchase and I was eligible for free gifts to try out for 10 days. Was not aware or informed that a charge would be taken from my debit card until I checked my card and there was a $50.90 amount taken from card. I never used any of the gifts like gas vouchers, online entertainment for movies, car rental etc. When trying to contact someone regarding charge from statement, was unable to talk to anyone. I am now aware that this is a online and telephone scam and I will cancel my card immediately. I am so glad to have accesses theid information. Buyers or Consumers Beware!!!!!!!!

We got this offer about a month ago and unfortunately because we are unemployed at the time fell for their so called great bargains. Now its a month later and they are calling us on a daily basis and still pulling money off our (unemployment Debit Card).  We have now contacted our Chase bank who is the Debit Card Issueing company for Michigan Unemployment and they have heard of this scam so I assume that other companies have as well so check with yours. They are trying to get our money back So I guess what I am trying to say is if U purchased anything from these fraudulant Shmuks call your card service and report them to try and get your money back.

Super Savings, AKA (Also Known As) Super Savings Today, AKA Super Savings 4U, AKA Super Savings Discounts.

This company makes unsoliceted Telephone contacts, and claims the victom will be sent anything from $300 in gas voutures, to a 300 Gas Creditcard, To wall mart gift cards.

They claim to those targeted that they already have your credit card number and they only need you to verify it with them, by reading it to them from your credit card. They claim that this "great" deal is available for just $4.95 shipping and handling. They, if given any resistance to giving credit card info over the phone, assure you that it is a perfectly safe transaction as if anything were to go wrong you could simply contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.

They will also tell you they are registered with the better Buisness Burea in Phenix Arizona. If you search the BBB you will find a company named Super Savings Magazine.com

They WILL then charge the 4.95 fee. Two to five days later they will again make charges to your account of up to 500 dollars. This cycle will continue untill you notify the card issuer that the chages are fraudulent.

The operators (callers) will go by a host of names, my personal favorite is Stanley Yelnits.... (Yelnits is stanley spelled bacwards) If that name would not send red flags up to you, I am not sure what would.

In any event the company will drain your account if left unchecked. Because the money goes to a foreign entity (believed to be in India) you are NOT protected from the fraudulent charges, and have little recourse to seek refund.

Again as always, DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE TELEPHONE!  and always never give any information to an un soliceted Salesman over the Phone.

It may be okay promotion but it may not and we all have to protect ourselves and others.

Sheesh.  They really went to work on me!!  And the guy promised only a $100 gasoline voucher!  I came home very tired and depressed.  I have been looking for a job here in Jennifer Granholm's "Peepuls Republick of Meesheegun" for six years.  You know, the state where in the face of job losses in the 19,000 to 20,000 per month range our brilliant governor and legislature raised business taxes from 100% to 700% and tacked a 21% surcharge on top of that!!  But that's another story.

Anyway this guy with an East Indian accent calls telling me all I had to do was pay $4.95 for shipping and handling and I would get a $100 free gasoline card.  Suspicious, I kept wheedling him and he kept talking.  It turned out to be one of those thing where you pay so much a month to get discounts on various things.  Trouble is the amount it costs per month is more than I spend per month at all of these places put together.  What is worse, it is one of those deals where they supposedly send you the package and you don't have to pay a thing if you respond in so many days.  But you get nailed if you don't respond. It was Super Savings Today also known by other names involving the word Orangewood.  They are located at 7369 Orangewood Lane, Boca Raton, Florida.  I tried to beg off.  He kept talking. I said "no"four or five times.  Finally from nagging (and hopes of free gas money) I took leave of my senses and let him have my credit card number.  Then I was supposed to go through some other guy to verify that I wanted the package.  I came to my senses and said "no."  More nagging.  More "nos."  I finally hung up the phone.  He called back five or six times.  Exhausted when I started and more exhausted now, I stupidly agreed.  The package NEVER arrived so my card was billed three times for over $50 for I know not what.  The money to go to Great Britain. The same guy called the day it was supposed to arrive: I told him it probably wouldn't make it as it was snowing very hard.  He hung up.  IT NEVER ARRIVED!!!  So I got nailed for not having responded in seven days.

Cancelled credit card today. Hopefully Chase will reissue a new one as they said.  Meanwhile called Super Savings Today and just got into argument with guy who kept insisting the package had been delivered and thus I was on the hook for over $150 even though I have been trying to save up for a $13 haircut since Thanksgiving and not succeeding. I am extremely angry and reporting them to Boca Raton BBB, Florida Attorney General and posting on as many scam sites as possible.

It is very hard to just hang up on someone who just keeps calling back when you are tired and depressed from other problems.  I can recommend you do so, knowing it is hollow advice.  Overall I have met more good, kindly, and generous people in life than crooks and bullies.  I have dealt with many more honest businesses than crooks.   But those few sure make life difficult.  Anyway, I told the jerk who refused to credit me for the stuff I didn't want, that I was going to get the money back if I had to crawl on my hands and knees all the way to Florida to do so.
