It is a call from CITI card wanting to go a survey on the customer service you have recieved. So if you have recently made a change over the phone with a live rep to your CITI card account you might get a call from this # just to see if you were happy with the service.

I have good reason to believe this is a SCAM and not CitiCard.  They also operate with the name of Citi Client and tell you how many accounts with Citibank you have and that you are past due.  Do a search and Citi Client first, if it still exists, is service that is supposed to be for high net worth individuals to manage their asset portfolio investment.

DO NOT give them your SS#, Mother's maiden name, pin or any password that would allow them to get into your account.  If they are legit then let them prove it.  I called the customer service number on the back of my Mastercard and they never heard of this service nor did they have a record on their system of any of the three numbers they used (including the one above) to contact me.

I've had my current phone number for more than three years. The automated phone message was for the woman who had the number before me. When I dialed the callback number given in the message, I just got another automated voice and was not able to correct the problem. Unsatisfactory!

My Google Voice number was called by this number but the call didn't go through to me and straight to voice mail.  No message left so I don't know who called or why.

I have received multiple messages and I do not have a citi bank card at all, so they cannot be calling about a customer service interaction.

I'm sure it's a debt collector. I don't even it anymore. I have a non-existent Shell card because Citi-card took them over. They canceled my card with a $189 balance on it. So I just pay them whatever I feel like monthly. My balance is down to $40.00 and I'm sure they'll still harrass me after I pay the $40.00 next month. I'm very ANNOYED!

I just got a new pay per minute cell phone and new number.  Started getting calls from another 888 number so figured it was someone trying to track down the old user of the phone # I was assigned.  Got tired of the calls and called back to ask them to stop.  It was Citi.  The person that took my request said the calls should stop that day.  They did.  But now I'm getting calls from this 888#  so it must be someone from Citi calling to ask how my customer service was.  What a PITA !

Constantly receiving phone calls from no. Don't answer because they don't identify who is the caller on my caller iD.  They are getting to be rather annoying.

    Hi Joe,

I can assure you, this one isn't a scam. They have been calling me. At first i wasn't sure why, but then remembered. Thirteen months ago I had set up a 12 month payment plan. Put the card on hold, no interest accrued, I couldn't use the card, but the payments would only be 250 a month at 0% allowing me time to catch up, a little breathing room - all in all a good deal. The payments came out automatically. When the calls started, I looked at my checking account statement and saw that the monthly payments had indeed stopped coming out, the 12 month period had ended. (Up till now they had only left voice mails on the land line which we don't answer - the ringers are off and we check the mails via our computer- we have the landlines as back up and use the cells as primary lines, we'll eventually phase out landlines in a year or so). Well they had my husbands cell as en emergency backup line and eventually called that line (eventually came yesterday) they told him that a payment of $435 would cover the nov & dec payments, he just told them that I handled the bills. So when I called back I used the number that I had in my files that I had always called in the past *****And NOT the number thats been calling me -BECAUSE IT COULD BE A SCAM- ***** but it wasn't, they were indeed waiting on my call.

I agree - if they call you there is no reason to give your security codes. If they call you and they say there is a problem, ask what type of problem and - WHAT DEPARTMENT IS DEALING WITH IT! Then call back, call a number that you know and trust, and ask for that department, and only then start giving out your social and security codes. Yes be careful but also know that there are a lot of people in customer service who really don't know a lot, and those people know even less about what other departments exist and what they do and can do or offer. So if you ever get the sense that you might be dealing with an idiot, you just might. In that case - hang up and try again! Good luck and be careful out there, it's a cold cruel world! ;D
