They call, and when we don't pick up, they disconnect.

I called this number back - Awards Verification Center.  
This is a 'gateway' call for Silverleaf Resorts to sell you timeshares.
They tell you that you have 'won' prizes...but that you have to come in for a brief presentation in order to take delivery.
Then you get a sales pitch (some say a very high-pressure sales pitch).
Beware!  
And, if you don't tell them to remove you - they will contact you numerous times per day...and using different toll-free or local (in 817 area code)

This is a scam...look up Awards Verification Center in Google and you will find many complaints.

They told me i won some prizes i just had to go to a 90 minute presentation, which when i researched it i found was for timeshares.....they have called 10 times, i didn't answer until the 10th call and the first nine times, they never left a message....they call from an 817 522 5885 and the 866 685 6818 is the call back number they give you if you can't make an appt at that time...it's a scam and they need to stop calling me!!!

I just got a call from this number ( 1866 685 6818 ) now I find it extremely weird for a strange number to call me saying I won 42,000 in cash . That's there first mistake , a ligitt place wouldn't offer cash . Then they told me all I have to do is go to a 90 min presitation with no detail on what this presitation is about . That's kinda fish . Three they were so willing to throw in extra gifts . Makes no sence . I wouldn't take my chances in be leaving in this. I'll tell u if it's real when I go there my self just to prove a point to my girl.

What happened when you went????

So I do remember putting my name in a raffle to win a free car at the mall get a call some months later saying I won the raffle but you had to be 21 to claim your prize so just to make sure it was real I called my lawyer mother who told me not to fool with them and that it wasn't real. Sure enough when I go on line all I see are horror stories about the way they harass people they've now called me more than once as well even though I have told them I'm not interested and from what they claim I gave them permission to do this I personally do not remember reading this and even so I'm underage I just entered the raffle because I didn't think I would win a car. Is it just me or is there something about minors not being able to make legal agreements?

866-685-6818 has called my number no less than 10 times each day for the last four days.  We are registered on the do not call list and have notified the Attorney General of Texas

Got a call from them today. I told her I wasn't interested in it right now but I would give her a call in a month or so if I was still interested.  She said she also had my last name and I doubt she used a real name.  I am going to block it.

By the way I got the call from 682-808-5319.  She was located in Texas and I am in Massachusetts.

ilverleaf Resorts is a timeshare company.  Filled out a card/entry form at an event in Austin, TX.  A representative called Wednesday 3/12 to tell me I'd won one of 4 major prizes: BMW, Mercedes, $15,00 shopping spree or $499 cash.  All I have to do is make an appointment to attend listen to their sales pitch and claim my prize.   I refused to make an appointment and they have been calling everyday from different numbers ever since.  

I just got this call and I don't want to waste my time!

I got a call from these telemarketers, so I called the resort in Conroe Tx.  They said it is a legitimate offer.  If we go take the 90 minute tour, we get a 5 day 4 night trip to either Orlando Florida or Las Vegas.  Air and hotel paid.  We also win another prize guaranteed.  We will probably try this and I'll let y'all know how it turns out.  Don't have anything to lose.  I have to practice my "NOT INTERESTED AT THIS TIME" line before we get there.  lol

Siverleaf Resorts.  Had a timeshare from them long ago and was very displeased with the service and would never go back. They claim to be able to trade out resorts. They did maybe the first or second year then after you have a buch of money paid in they somehow don't ever have a room available!! Go figure!!!  Had to get the attorney general involved to get out of this sorry mess!!!
