Called my cell and claimed to be Barkley Card Fraud Detection. I do not have, nor have ever had a Barkely Card.  But then I played along and pressed 1 to be connected to a "detection specialist".  Immediately it asked for my 16-digit credit card, which of course I don't have.  But I suspect the next prompt would ask for a PIN or some other way to obtain credit card information.  I highly suspect this is FRAUD itself and a way to STEAL IDENTITY or at least STEAL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.  BE WARNED!!

I just received the same robo call as well.  I had to look at my cards to make sure I did not have one.

Just got a message on my cell... same thing Barkley card I don't have one never even heard of them...

Barkley Card called me and the automation requested the numbers from my MasterCard.  I immediately hung up as I do not know this source and will not easily be a victim to a possible scam and/or theft of my identity.

I got the same message, although I do have two Barclay cards.  I checked online and there has been no fraud or unauthorized activity.  Generally, I've had these calls from WF and it's always a person, not a robo-call.

Got this call as well even though I never heard of the company, nor do I even have a credit card. I tried to press "0" for an operator but it doesn't let you do that.

same message as above - recorded message about Barkley card and a potential hold on the account.   i do not hold a Barkley or Barclay card so seems suspect.

Same here.  Called my cell.  None of my cards do I provide my cell #.  Message said it was Barkley MasterCard and that there was suspicious activity and a hold would be placed on my card til I call them....we'll go ahead since I never had your card....

Just got this on my cel.  A recorded Barclay Card message.   No one responds.

I just got the same call about 10 minutes ago. Shady.

I just got this call as well.  It seems like a lot of us did. Claiming to be Barkley Card and saying a temp hold would be put on my account.  I don't have a Master Card!

I just received the phone call at work number saying:
this is a credit card security department, there was an unusual activity on your card (I could not quite hear the card name well enough, I thought it sounded like "master card")
It went on saying:
please press 1 to verify or call the number 1-866-691-1096
The automated service asked for the full 16 digits card number, expiration date
and PIN number. I typed it all in.
In the end the record said - sorry, the information did not verify, please, call later.
I did that twice, before I suspected that to be a phishing scheme.
I called my bank and they confirmed that that phone number is NOT a credit card security.
Canceled the card, of course.

Got the same call on my cell.  I tried to call the number back from my work phone and it says "this number is not in service".  Plus I don't have a Barclay card anyway but I was just curious what they would say.

Also just got the same call from this number. It said it was calling about my Mastercard World Card. Never heard of it and don't have any credit cards. So yeah scam. The message said about a hold being placed on the account because they were investigating fraud charges and I could call them or go to their website to verify. If I was calling internationally I could call a special number. Ooh. It never said the company's name Other than Mastercard World Card.
The voice on the message it left was a weird female computerized voice that reminds me of the voice control on an old MAC.

Just got this call. I got all the same messages that you guys did. It's funny though because I do have a Master Card but as far as I know, my bank does not have my cell number so if there was a problem they prob would have called my house. Adding this number to my rejected calls list.

Called me about fraud on a card I don't have. Total scam. The robot continually asks for your cc #.
