The phone rings at 8:15 in the morning. On the second ring, one picks it up. The caller hears the greeting and hangs up. It happens on any day of the week, including the weekend. This happens often and the caller ID is always the same: 866-692-6805. No one ever says anything. The caller simply hangs up, but it is very annoying.

I get calls from them I asked them to stop and they won't, I asked them who they were and they didn't. They are getting down right rude. They actually said they weren't telemarketers sales and they don't have to stop calling. They aren't debt collectors either. This is getting ridiculous.

I found out that if you get their address or anyone who is calling you for a debt you, yes even if you do owe it....you can write a 'cease and desist' letter, they HAVE to leave you alone. You can get a sample of this letter on line. Just Google the words 'cease and desist'Make sure you send it registered mail, return receipt requested. It worked for me with all the credit card companies that were calling me on late payments. I told them 'you will get your money, just leave me alone....Good luck

Write them a letter teling them to cease and desist calling you. Put it in writing, it is your right to do so.

To the individual or individuals calling me:

Calling my cell phone and not speaking, really.  I would like to speak with whomever it is that is calling, I would like to have just a few words with them.  If that doesn't work, please leave me your name and number, and will learn more about me.

They call and just sit there.  So, I called back, and they were downright rude!  I asked who this was, and the girl says "Heather".  They didn't identify themselves, I had to Google the number just to see who the heck it was.

866-692-6805 calls stating they are from vision financial. finally one call did speak to my wife. it was a very loud mouth biotch who obviously forgot she called to my wife's number, which is a private unlisted number, and demanded to speak to me. my wife informed her she called on her phone, not visa-versa, and to never call her number again. they called back shortly afterwards which my wife let her voice mail get of which they left no message except after a holding period the same big mouth biotch got on saying hello hello.

Who do they collect for ??? Anyone Know ?

These people call before 8:30 in the morning. If I remember federal laws right, they can't start calling before 8:30. I am going to do more than a cease and desist letter to them I am contacting the governor and the feds. Collection services have gotten way out of hand.

They don't stay on the phone long enough to find out who they REPRESENT ???

I have received 12 calls from this ph# in the past 2 weeks.

Go online to the FTC.gov.  Get the phone number and call them and file a complaint about them calling.  They might call one more time but they will stop calling unless they want to pay hefty fines or go out of business.

Put all of your phone numbers on the "Do not call list".  If you get the calls, contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and find out what your rights are especially when these people do not ask for anyone or identify themselves.  I just received a phone call from them and they just stated that they were not a telemarketer and that this was an important call.  Well, from now on, anyone that calls my house without asking for whom they want to speak to will not get an answer other than the answering machine.  

I had a college professor that said he received a fax once from telemarketers and it happened more than once.  He faxed them back a bill for using his ink and his fax machine.  They did not want to pay the bill so he told them he was adding interest and he insured us that this bill could be enforced by law.

The number showed up on my caller id.

These people call and don't say anything.   Call at all times.  I do not know why they are calling.

Received call to my Cell Phone today, 2/03/11 at 1:07pm CST
Caller ID showed:  "RESTRICTED"

Immediately I know this is a fraud/scam/sham call, so I answer it (also recording the call).

An automated female voice stated "You must call us back at 1-866-692-6805" and then hangs up.    

Does NOT STATE WHO THEY ARE.
Does NOT OFFER YOU OPTION TO 'OPT OUT'.

etc...

I DO NOT have any CC's, as I hate the 'system' and only pay for things with good old fashion green backs!  

I filed a complaint with the FTC and with the NY Consumer Protection Bureau - you should do the same.
