The caller said the company is CCI ASSoicates. I guess it's a debt collector

This company called me threatening to send a process server to my ho me to serve me with co urt documemts over an account with a company ive never heard of. They ask you to verify bits of your personal info to see if anything matches so they can brow beat you into thinking its legitimate. They probably only have partial info and think they can fool people into thinking they have your complete info to see if you fall for their scam and give them some money! If it was legitimate they would send out letters or notices with their company name and contact info on it instead of making random calls from blocked numbers! Another company trying to stick people with accounts thst arent theirs and they identify themselves as CCI Associates and have a fax number based in Buffalo, NY.

Just rec'vd a call from a block # office of a legal department saying there are accounts that were faxed to their office filing a complaint against me. I need to contact 866-703-2084 ext.1 is this really a scam???? I do not trust the phone call at all. Not giving out my personal info and I am unemployed so how are they sending info to my employer? Wow it is too hard out here. What ever it is put it on my already bad credit.

This is CCI and they are a debt collector or some guy sitting in pajamas at home buying old debt. This is one of 15 different companies that have called me regarding a so called loan (PDL) from quickest-cash-advance.com. All have the same story, fraud charges, blah, blah, blah. Another company called me and swore they owned the debt, I asked for verification of debt and they could not come up with the proper(any) paperwork. I would of done the same with CCI, but knew they did not have a leg to stand on and couldn't prove anything. People, a PDF emailed to you with your name, any part of your SSN and the name of the company is not good enough, they have to provide a copy of the original, signed paperwork to prove the loan is legit and that you took it out. Ask the question, ask for debt verification before paying anything. Take them to court if you have too and if they don't supply PROPER paperwork they can't collect anything, they will have to provide it to the courts. I told CCI go ahead and bring me to court, I'll get $1000 out of them instead. All he did was call me "tough guy" and said I did not sound smart enough to do that, he has no clue....

I just received a threatening call from this number saying there are 2 complaints against me and they were going to send notice to my place of employment.  I know they don't have the legal right to contact my work unless they get a court order and I haven't received one in the mail

The caller said they would send someone to my place of employment and I'm a teacher and that's the last thing I want or need.

It's a scam - they call you and harass you in order to make you so scared that you'll "settle" with them - even though the debt is non-existent, already paid off, or past the statute of limitations.  You should let your HR Dept or manager know that you are the victim of scammers.  Also - process servers DO NOT call you ahead of time to make sure you are at home or work!  Again, this is a scare tactic these scammers use to get people to pay them money!  Report the caller to the FTC, the FBI and also your state's Attorney General.  Remember - no copy of signed original contract, no debt validation letter = no debt due.

caller said she was a process server and would i be home to receive some papers because i was being taken to court. I asked who the papers were for and she gave me 8667032084 ext 1. She told me the name of the company was CR assosiates.  Its a scam!!!!

So glad I looked here. I got the same call today and they left a message. Same scenario as others though the message says they received 2 faxed complaints to their office today and will be sending something to my residence or employer if I do not contact them.  That they need to verify information.  With so many ppl getting identical calls (all 2 complaints via fax) within the past week it HAS to be a scam, right?

This is too funny!  I just received the same exact call.  They left a message stating exactly what has been discussed here.

This lady left a message and she is mumbling while receiving messages-can't understand what she is saying.
She said to call the above#-don't know what she is trying to collect from me. She even gave the case#.

Got the same message 10 minutes ago and if I hadn't received the same phone call about a year ago I might look into the matter more realistically. It's a debt collector that bought an old account and like previous people have stated they are trying to scare you into making a payments and start your debt obligation all over again.

I also forgot to mention too that I was trying to get information out of the first person who called me about this legal paperwork to deliver, with a case number to reference and to call 1-866-703-2084 for more information, etc. I asked who she works for, and she stated the company I'm suppose to call. I asked her for her physical address so I can include her in the law suite I am going to file against the debt collectors since she must be involved in the scam as well and the caller actually said to me, "I do not know the address sir, I'm new here". So I asked for her manager and all she said was "sir, just call the number", so she did not have a manager and could not advise of the physical address. Friggin joke, I cannot wait until another one of these bogus calls, I'm just going to screw with them as much as they are trying to screw us and then turn them into my lawyer.

I also received the same phone call from a blocked number (actually it showed up on my caller id as 15$34$) which is beyond bazaar but the guy left a message stating the same thing and left the toll free number to call thats listed above and gave the ext 1, with a reference number. He also said there will be legal documentation sent to my mailing address or employer if I dont respond....

This effin guy calls me from a blocked number stating that he's investigator James Parker that he has received 2 court summons with my name, social security #, and wanted to verify the address to send the process server to!  LMAO!!!!  Hello, process servers do not call to verify what time you'll be home, what time you'll be home, etc. They just show the "f" up!

We got the same call and when I threatened to give their phone number to our local sheriff's office and the woman wigged out. I told her since she could not provide a name for a company, an address, and a phone number for the people my fiancee allegedly owed money and they had no contact information how were they supposed to pay them when they collected any debts owed to them? I did a reverse cell look up and found this site. I also called the area she claimed the debt came from and no such company existed there ever.

I also received a message from this Bull Twinkie fake agency.  When I called the number back I set my cell phone up to record the conversation.  And when the fake rep came on the line I advised him that this call was being recorded for my protection.  I gave him the fake case number that they had left on my voicemail, and he immediately put me on hold.  When he came back on the line he said that he had spoken with his supervisor and that he could not disclose any information on my fake case because i was recording the call and that the law in New York prohibited me from doing so.  After I exercised my knowledge of the REAL law I told him that i was reporting him to the FTC and Attorney Generals office and never to call my number again.  SAD SAD SAD shame that these ppl out here are to lame to get a real job!!!

I just received a voice-mail from this blocked number. I felt like it was shady due to them using my last 4 digits of my social security number over the phone. I also thought it was strange when the lady stated not knowing my address and wanting me to call and give them my address. Are they kidding? Also, why block your phone number if you are going to give a phone number out with an extension to call back to? They also threatened to send a server to my home between 5-6 pm or else to my place of employment. In my state I live in this is not legal to bother a person at their place of employment. The part that made me the most nervous was when I heard her use part of my social over the phone. She also kept saying she was from the Department of Legal Services. This made me ask myself...department for who?

I just received a phone call from Ashley who is a Process Server and she told me to call 1-866-703-2084 and my case number is 932641, well I am not calling this number as I feel it is a scammer. If I was going to be issued a summons they should come to my hose with tis summons and not call me on the phone to hurry up and call this number.
