- Jing| 17 repliesI receive calls from this number on my cell phone about once a week. I asked Credit management services to stop calling me, but they still continue to call me. Now I recognize the number and just ignore the calls.
- Caller: Credit management services
- Call type: Debt collector
- Kathryn AldridgeI received a call from this number on my cell. I didn't recognize it and didn't answer. I immediately received a call from this number at my work phone. I also did not answer. Neither time was a message left on my voice mail.
- Jen866-706-5681 - didn't leave a message and continues to call.

- MarqAt first this number would call me maybe once every 2 weeks. Now it is pretty much every single day. I ignore the calls, however it is incredibly irritating!
- Call type: Debt collector
- HTCThis recording keeps calling 2 or more times a day. I ignore but that does not work. My number is a business and many people work here. These time wasters should be stop.
- Caller: Toll free
- MarkI get a call from these [***] every day on both my mobile phone and home land line. I made the mistake of answering the first call to my home phone, which ended with the loser on the other end screaming profanities at me and telling me to shut up. They identified themselves as "Card Services" and they work for Visa, it's clearly an attempt at fraud, IMO. I would like to know how they got my mobile number, it seems unlikely to be just a coincidence.
- Caller: Card Services
- AKI get calls from them a few times a week. I've called them back a few times immediately after they call me so I can tell someone to take my number off their list, but every time a recording comes on and says "thank you for calling Credit Management Services, no one is here right now to take your call but please leaver your name, phone number and account number" Seems like a fraud to steal credit card or bank account numbers.
- ANNOYED replies to Jing| 2 repliesPhone number 866-706-5681 keeps calling my cell on a daily basis as well. I called it back and it says its a CONFERENCE CENTER and to enter my pass code. Is there a DO NOT CALL list for Cell phones?? This is really pissing me off!!
- Tats| 1 replyI get several types of these numbers. How they get this numbe, which is a cell phone, I don't know.
But, when it a call of the "800, 866, etc..." I come right to these pages and plug the number in. Of course, it is always the same. Just crap.
I enter each of these numbers in my phone "Address" book. I enter them as "Crap 1, Crap 2, and sdo on. I am up to Crap 6. It is very easy to ignore them now as I know they're all crap.
If they leave a message, I wait until after nine pm to call when I get all free outgoing and incoming calls to get the out of my voice mail box.
It does seem to be some sort of scam.
Don't answer them. It does cost them every time they make a call to you. Or if you do answer them, have a good time.
Try something like "How may I direct your call?" and leave them sitting there if they give you a name. Then every few seconds tell them that you are trying to locate "whomever" they are calling for.
Act like they act, give them a hard time. - AnonymousI get a call from these people a couple of times a day. The frequency seems to have increased lately. I never answer. As "Tats" above did, I simply added them to my address book so that I can ignore them when their name appears. (Note to self: assign them a no-sound ringtone.)
They leave a recorded voicemail. Although they don't identify themselves, they say they have "An important business call for [XYZ]". XYZ is the person --a stranger to me-- who had my phone number before me (and hasn't had the number since July 2007). I have no idea whether XYZ is a legitimate customer of these people or if he got caught in their scam-web or what. Hmmm ... Maybe that's why he changed his number. :) - SHI too continue to get phone calls about every other day from this phone number on my cell phone.
I finally, today, got a voice mail. It is an automated voice that says, "We have a very important business call. Please call us back at 866-706-5681. Thank you." - MikeI've killed the ringer on my home phone so I only get messages left on my machine. For the past week I've been woken at 8:10am EST by a phone call from this number. They leave a message stating "We have an important business call for xxxxx, please call us back at 866-706-5681. I've never heard of the person they're asking for, and I've had this phone number since September 2000!! I finally got fed up enough to call them back today, and someone answered, and at my prodding identified himself as being an agent of 'Credit Management Services.' He asked for my phone number so he could look me up in his computer, and then proceeded to ask if I knew xxxxxx or yyyyyyyy, neither of whom do I know. I told him to take my number off his list.
- Caller: Credit Management Services
- Call type: Debt collector
- fleet| 2 repliesI've been getting a call from them every day at 7am for the last week. I never answer but they always leave the same " we have an important...." bs message. I have now created a profile for them on my phone & set the custom ringer to silent. Now they'll never get through to me.
Thing is, if this is a legit collection agency & they actually presented themselves as such I'd call right back & find out what was going on. Since they sound like such a scam though I'll never call th back. I can't stand tactics like this.
Someone with a fax machine or auto dialer of some sort should plug this number in & bomb them with useless calls all day long for a few weeks. He'll, we should put together a group of people to do this so we can completely tie up all their phone lines & shut them down for a while. - SpencerI keep recieveing calls from 866-706-5681 and return the calls and left on hold and that a rep. is assisting other callers. It ask for some one else and to return the call. It now has become harassment and I beleive a class action suite is in order.
- Caller: unknown
- ggncall said that this was a call for Name to call them back somthing about busness. The person that they ask for didn't live at this phone #.
- lgoffGO to the website for the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint against this harrassment. It is the only way to stop this company's corrupt business practices.
- TT| 3 repliesIt is not a scam, they are trying to get a hold of 'XYZ' to make a payment on their Visa card account. However, they are really annoying and call at all times of the day. It would be nice of them to identify themselves when they call, even if it is a pre-recorded message.
- Caller: CARD SERVICES (CREDIT MANAGEMENT SERVICE
- omfI've also been getting calls every morning around 8AM during the week from this number. They always leave an automated message "We have an important business call for ..." My number is a cell number, so I assumed they were trying to get in touch with whoever the last owner of the number was.
They never identify themselves, of course. I called them back today and asked to be taken off their dialing list. We'll see what happens...
I really wish it were illegal for a business to call you without identifying themselves.- Call type: Debt collector
