- AMCalled here looking for our CFO. I laughed at the guy and told him this is an international company and calling here and asking for the CFO is like calling Microsoft and expecting to be put through to Bill Gates. What a joke.
- JohnCaller: Um, hello, um, I'm, um calling on behalf of, um, **** company. Um, would you um, be interested in, um, a phone call?
Me: No, I wouldn't.- Call type: Telemarketer
- KarenJust got a call looking for our president (by name). Told them to call back in 3 weeks. He'll be gone then too for another extended period. I'm just not sure how long I will say this time. :-)
- WoW MoMCalled my home today and left no message. Ironically also called my office today and left no message. I called them and was told by the female who answered that she was an answering service. I asked her for whom and she said she didn't have that information. I asked her where she was located and she said San Francisco. Told her to put her supervisor on the phone and she said her supervisor was on another call. I told her I would just sit and visit with her until her supervisor got off of the phone and could talk to me. She said she didn't understand what I meant. She put me on hold and came back saying that her supervisor was still on a call. Told her that the home phone number she called was on the Do Not Call List and had been since its inception and reminded her that there was a hefty fine for the company for every violation and told her to remove the number (our home phone) from their call list. And then asked her how the weather was in India.

- RebeccaJust right now this number called me and this was the conversation:
Me: Hello?
Unknown Person: Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?
Me: Yes. Who is this?
Unknown Person: Yes, can i speak to the owner of the house?
Me: Who is this?
Unknown Person: CAN I SPEAK TO THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE PLEASE!!
Me: (I just hung up) - ErnestoJust called and apparently she didn't realize my voice mail had picked up. She was chatting with another operator for 2 minutes and when she finally realized the line was open, she sang a nice little goodbye song. Very strange, unprofessional, and aggravating!

- Get Even| 1 replyThis is what you do...call this company back repeatedly...and hang up....2 things occur...they incur costs for the call, and you tie up there lines pissing them off as much as they are pissing you off...
- Caller: Unknown
- ASomeone from this number called our company's public # and asked for the person responsible for something something maintenance, and when I asked for the company, call back number and name they asked for the CEO by name, that is usually the tactic of a cold call because that is also public information. Sorry for them it doesn't always get you thru! ha ha ha
- aggravatedbytheripoffs replies to Get EvenTook your advice and called back a dozen times. By the third time I asked for "Chris" the girl with a heavy accent said "you just called" I told her I'm calling her all day like they call me.
Towards the end, I got tired and just hung up, hoping they get charged for the initial call. - DukeOverseas telemarketer says that she was calling from "Level Platforms" which is an IT monitoring service. The calling company is actually CALLBOX, which is an overseas telemarketing company that, in this instance, Level Platforms hired because they provide cheap telemarketing services.
Using this sort of marketing is a poor reflection on Level Platforms and tells me that they probably do everything "on the cheap" regardless of quality (or lack thereof).
Level Platforms has now associated itself with being a cheap-ass low quality company.
Probably not what they had in mind.- Caller: Callbox / Level Platforms
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DukeAfter calling me last week representing Level Platforms, they called today pitching their own services. The connection was horrible, the person had a heavy accent that made it virtually impossible to understand what she was saying.
I presume that Callbox selects the "Best of the Best" when trying to sell their service. If this is the best they got then they SUX BIG TIME.
Would never hire them and will never buy anything from a company that uses them.- Caller: Callbox

- Frank| 1 replyTell them that if they call again, you will kill a cow and eat it.
- Caller: CallBox
- Rob H.Yankee marketing scum proposing "lead generation", asked for my marketing manager. Me. Like above, quality of their call was so poor, I could barely hear through the static. Something like Callbox or some stupid name. When will these jerks stop this nonsense? Nothing but American telemarketers tying up my freaking phone lines these days. I guess times are tough. No $$ to buy hamburgers so gotta scrape up enough change to pay for a few cans of Purina.
