Called my father and said she needed to locate me concerning a charge of check fraud that was filed against me. I called the number back and the automated system said the company name was "American Credit." They called my uncle the next day - I filled out an online application for a payday loan a long time ago (didn't accept a loan), and something similar started happening back then, but only calling me and my work phone. I'm sure it's the same thing. Unfortunate that these criminals start harassing my family - and they're actually doing work on this one - I've never listed my uncle as a reference for anything, ever.
