My experience with this number is that it is the call-back number for Meridian Media Group, for the purpose of renting or selling your timeshare/timeshare credits to them.

Alkthough it certainly could be used for other purposes, or someone could"spoof" this as their caller id, this is my experience. I have had many phone calls with them and am about to do business with them, unless my research determines that this would be an unwise move...

    That's my 2-cents worth...

P.S. It looks like Premier Timeshares (www.premiertimeshares.com) also uses this number 866-722-8958 .

Somewhere back in my brain I believe I recall that Meridian Media purchased/absorbed Premier Timeshares, but I cannot yet confirm that...

    OK...that's my 4-cents worth

P.P.S. Sorry for the multi-chained reply here, but this is like tracing the edge of a fractal, it just keeps winding deeper and deeper.

This number 866-722-8958 may be a clearing house for all things timeshare-related. Here are some other companies/links that reference the number:

Timeshare Advisor Magazine in the UK:
    http://www.timeshareadvisormagazine.co.uk/

I may have already mentioned the US counterpart to Timeshare Advisor Magazine in the US, but not at this link:
    http://interlogicmanagement.com/links.asp

RedWeek.com, part or Royal Marketing Group gives it an honarable mention:
    http://www.redweek.com/

and another honorable mention at Sint Maarten (St. Marting) Travel
    http://www.sintmaartenrentalweeks.com

    OK...I'm done. I hope this helps everyone/someone.

    out.

    Hi Mark:

You stated that you were about to do business with Meridian Media Group.  If this was to sell a time share were you successful?  I have talked to them on two occasions and am relucant to pay that up front fee.  I have two individual weeks at Vistana Villages (Phase IV) one bedroom premium (1000 sqft) that I would like to sell.
Please advise if you recommend this group.

I too am considering doing business with Meridian Media as well.  They seem legit, but I got sucked in to doing business with American Marketing Group (AMG) to sell my timeshare and paying their up front fee.  They (AMG) lied to me continuously about the fact they had a buyer, building their story to keep me on the hook for the full 120 days.  Then they stopped returning my calls.  Do not do business with AMG.  So far, as I said, still considering Meridian Media who seems legit and who also promised to recover my fee from AMG.

I received a call today from Meridian Media at this number. They asked for $399-$499 up front to list my property and stated the market value at 2-3,000 higher than any other company. They will rent a week of credits to take potential buyers to view some properties and call me with any offers. Anyone else have a similar experience with them or anyone work with Meridian Media Group/Timeshare Advisor Magazine? I am hesitant to go with any company asking for upfront money but want to sell my timeshare.

I trust you haven't moved forward with Maridian Media, they are a fake outfit.  I tried to let them sell/rent my timeshare and 6 weeks past, so I cancelled my credit card for that transaction.  In my opinion they take your money, hope you forget and if they make it past the 60 days (credit card dispute timeframe), then they have it made.  I felt they abandoned my account.

I paid the fee up front and will let everyone know how it goes.  I went through "sellmytimesharenow.com" and have not had an interested buyer for more than a year.  Not a peep.  I got the same spill so we will see.  Did he say that he could have a check for the rental week really quick?  They are a legit company and have a BBB B- rating where sellmytimesharenow.com had a D.

Have you had any luck since signing up with Meridial Marketing Group?  Who did you talk with and how has their followup been?
Do they actually have potential buyers go to your time share and take the tour?
I'm considering using them to sell my time share but I'm cautious because of a bad experience in the past.

I went thru three different timeshare resale comapnies that were all internet advertisers and I had no luck at all. I got a call from meridian about two months ago and posted my ad with them and within three weeks I got an offer on my property and it was almost what i wanted and i took the offer. I would recommend this company hands down.

Great Dan! Who did you talk to?  Who was the sales person?
Did you get a direct number?
There are so few success stories I would really like to use a reliable contact as would so many others on this thread.
Please send an email to greenobelisk@gmail.com to contact me if you wish to do so privately.
Thanks so much for your help in advance!
Anyone else with success is encouraged to send me an email too.

I just returned the call to Merdian after they called me. I do have my timeshare listed with another group, but they did not take any money upfront, and my "hot" timeshare has been on the market since October! Meridian is saying they can sell it in less that 90 days but the guy (Scott)rushed me for a credit card to charge $699 upfront. No legit real estate company is going to collect upfront! I think not!!

HI I also got a call from Meridian and am trying to decide if they are legit. Have you had a positive experience with them (if you did move forward with them)? The price I was quoted was much higher $1200 also to market for rental/sale. They said it can take 4 mo to sell but their contract says within 90 days, after that they have to market it on their own dime. She estimated a week's rental would bring $1100.  I am not sure if the sale price they think they can get for my Legacy timeshare is reasonable or too high. If you look at it as a dollar/pt equation, they are offering me $3/pt as what to expect to receive since they say the resort is selling it at $4/pt. Any info you are willing to share would be helpful. thanks!

I called Timeshare Advisor Magazine dba Meridan Media Group. They gave me a toll free number 1-866-722-8958 I pulled them up on bbb.org and there ranting is a C-. Well, to me that was okay compare to the rest of the Timeshare scams are randed a F. Within 3 years only 29 complaints. As with Timeshare Buy Owner has 204 complaints. Wow, from reading the comments left for Meridan Media Group I purchased  for renting $499. I guess I will stop that transaction I have to sign the papers to agree the transaction.
