Submitted an inquiry online last year on some health insurance website, and started to get repeated calls with offers of health insurance. If I'd knew they will be calling me that much I would never give my number! I am reporting them on www.donotcall.gov.
I called them back and told them that I was about to file a complaint with the BBB if they did not take me off of their list. I had to call 6-7 times before someone would actually talk to me and not hang up, but it seems to have worked.
I received repeated phone calls from this number over a period of about a month. When I finally decided to answer the call there was no one on the line.
I am starting a policy of calling them back and pull the same prank, hanging up. Today, I called 3x and hung up on same person all 3x. 2 minutes later they called me again. This time they were on the phone. I listen to sale pitch for 30 seconds and asked to be removed from calling list. They will pay for my aggravation by paying for 866 return calls. I know the group here is small - but if everyone would follow this procedure and flood them with repeat hang up and/or leaving a message they will get the point.
The have called me at least once or twice daily for several weeks. I don't normally answer my phone unless I know the number they are calling from, much like email from people I don't know. I had to call them back 3x before they would actually answer and when they did it was in broken english. If companies are going to hire people to make calls to sell their products they should ensure that they can speak distinct english. When I complained that I did not want them to call my number again; they wanted to know my number at which time I told them to use their caller ID. I informed them that I was already on a do not call list which they were violating.
I got the call and they said nothing. I called them back 3 times and likewise did not say anything. All 3 people had "foreign" accents, and I couldn't understand exactly what they said but it sounded like "Savers Health".
I call them and told me to put me on the do not call list and they said it would be $5.00 for each phone line and I told him he was crazy because I am already on the do not call list and it does not cost anything. Hw kept telling me I would have to pay $5.00 for each phone line. I told him I was having him traced and he told me to shut up. I just hung up and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call.
I keep getting calls about once a week, when i answer there is nothing there. It is annoying. I inquired about health insurance some months ago, but i told them all i dont want it. I wish someone would tell me how to stop them from calling altogether.
These people called me and i told them I was not intrested. He became very rude. I called back and asked to speak to a manager to find out how they got my number and he refused, I got mad and the guy told me I was about to have a heart attack, when he hung up I called back and the next gut (all of whom spoke broken English) called me an a**hole. I would like to know who these people are.
Same as everyone else. They keep calling and hanging up. Finally today I reported a complaint at www.donotcall.gov
Everyone should do the same. It takes about 45 seconds to file a complaint against them. I may also try calling them back and making them pay for the toll-free call! :)
This 'company' has called and called and called etc etc etc - one time the person (in broken English) left a message (probably had to for timing purposes if he works in a call center. I couldn't understand the message. I have filed - at a minimum - of 10 complaints with www.donotcall.gov. I now only file the number because I'm not sure that it is the same company - some of the foreign call centers represent more than one company (as here in the States). I suggest NOT calling them back. Also I would suggest when filing the complaint to ONLY use the phone number - and I don't think we should be putting in dashes or spaces. What a pain in the rear. -Linda (A senior citizen who shouldn't have to be walking to a phone for these types of calls- Jerks!)
Called back, Got "John Smith" told him to take me off the list and let me speak with a supervisor, I got Peter Lucas a.k.a. "the Boss" he asked if I was a wise guy, proceeded to tell me what he could/would do to me, Yeah right, sounds just like another uneducated illegal immigrant. I will make use instead of my health insurance license to pursue the company backing the people on the phone.
These #%@#$^'s have called my home 3 or 4 times a day for over a week and there is never anyone on the line. I finally got someone to answer after calling back many times and he could not hardly speak english. I asked him to take my phone # off the call list and was disconnected. I would like to hunt them down and have a face to face.
