- Shelby| 1 replyA man named Paul Williams called me from this number and left a message stating he was not marketing or sales and I needed to return his call. I returned the call right away. He informed me he was trying to collect a debt. I asked for the company name, RCS- Reliant Capital Soloutions. I verified they had the correct address and they did not. I gave them my correct address and told them to not contact me by phone and they may communicate with me by mail. Paul Williams then told me, he will continue to call me by phone. I now continue to get calls from private or unknown numbers.
- Caller: Paul Williams
- Call type: Debt collector
- BusyWorkinI am a receptionist and they left a message on our system. The message didn't say anything but the name James Duncan, company RCS, and a reference number.Other info online says they are not just debt collectors but apparently also scammers. In CA it is illegal to call at a workplace and particularly illegal to harrass a third party...like me. I will not be calling.

- Marie replies to ShelbyInteresting - I did a search on this guy and came up with this posting. Received 6 calls in a row from 10:45PM - 11:00PM from Paul Williams insisting on speaking with someone by a name similar to mine. He insisted that I wasn't who he was looking for and proceeded to tell me that he will continue to call me because he knows who he is looking for is here. Refused to give a company name...and when I told him I would contact the police if he continued to call, he asked me what are they going to do...the number is private. Went back and checked my caller ID and see that there are other calls today starting at 7:30AM.
If it's a collection agency, they are barking up the wrong tree...I have no debt! - darknightbottom feeders

I did call and insist they remove my number since this is an crisis line number. I hope I wasn't an idiot giving them my number which they promised to "remove". I will add them to my list of blocked calls for Verizon.

- PJ| 1 replyMy husband said I got a call from "Alicia from Alliant capital solutions" She said I needed to call her back 1866-738-3179 x141. I did not return the call. When I googled the number and found all these comments, I decided she wasn't up to any good. I don't do any business with "Alliant Capital".

- BigA replies to PJThis is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number. Now why would a “process server” want to do you, a stranger, a favor, and at the same time not get paid to deliver the papers?
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
