- James Olson| 1 replyJun 2 6:21PM Someone called & left a message for us to call them back. Even left a reference #. They stated it had something to do with our banking account. Our bank would never contact us in this way so we knew immediately this was a scam. Of course, we did NOT call them back.
- Go Ahead Make My Day!| 2 repliesI received a call from (281)954-0316 from a robotic voice. They left a message to call them back. Even left a reference #. They stated it had something to do with our banking account. "A serious banking matter that would affect my future banking status" thats how they stated it. Yeah right! No legitamite bank would ever contact anyone in this way so we knew immediately this was a scam. Of course, DO NOT call them back!
And this is the number the criminals left on the voicemail message.

- hexxuss| 1 replyRobocall from 813-792-4523 that says to call the 866 # here. Called back - and it's a debt collection place for old debt (debt past the statues of limitations) that's posing as an "arbitration specialist" place. Called for my ex who I haven't had contact with in over 4 years, and who has never lived in the state I'm in now.

- MarkI echo some of the comments above. My parents received a call on their phone at their home from these fraudsters that they did not answer. How they got that number, I do not know. I have not lived at my parents' house for years. The same stupid and bogus message was left regarding something affecting my future banking. Of course we knew right away that this was fraudulent. I have been with the same bank for over ten years and they would never contact me this way under any circumstances. The criminal low-lifes that operate these kinds of telephone scams are counting on intimidating people to pay them money. They need to be put out of business for good, prosecuted and sent to prison. Make an example out of them!

- carolyn johnsonI received a call from a woman (not even identifying who she was or where she was calling from) and left reference #5473767! To be sure it was not my bank, I called the # back and got a man asking if I was Lynn Johnson...I told him he got the wrong number and he did not even want the reference #!!!! He said you must be Lynn Johnson because you are getting mad! I told him we had been scammed before, I would NEVER give him any personal information and he hung up. He did say his # was the Department of Arbitration and that I was in great financial jeopardy!!! These guys are lunatics and are intruding on our privacy and personal identity!!!! - Andie| 5 repliesReceived a phone call from a “Mr. Jackson” at 202-768-8306 this morning at 7:56AM PDT about a debt collection for a company called “Triple Services LLC” which has pursued “two formal complaints” with Morgan County, AL. I haven't lived in Alabama in over 4 years. I live in Portland, OR now. When I spoke with the gentleman, he stated that the case filing was within Washington County, OR and told me an address that I lived at for about 2 months. After our phone conversation, I received another phone call from a blocked number stating he was a “process server with Multnomah County” but wanted to talk to me first before serving me court orders. Ha! Strange that if they were going to pursue a civil case against me, they can't seem to get it correct about where I live. When I asked "Mr. Jackson" what their address was so I could verify the company's identity, he couldn't give it to me! Only said, Brooklyn, NY and said his corporate office was Gallo and Kaufmann, LLC and their telephone number is 866-739-0368. I emailed them a cease and desist letter after they emailed me a “validation of debt” that had zero information to validate anything.
If for some crazy reason this is all real, I'll be happy to go to court and explain it all to a judge just how completely messed up this entire situation is. Otherwise, there's a special place in hell for these people.- Caller: Gallo & Kaufmann LLC

- Kyle| 2 repliesThey are a collection company based out of Amherst New York. Do not pay them thye told me that i was going to go to jail if i did not pay them today
- Alfalfa replies to Kyle| 1 replyThe Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
•is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
•refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
•asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
•exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
•Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
•Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
•Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
•Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
