They called me at 11 a.m. and didn't even have the courtesy to answer me when I said "HELLO" lol
what is the purpose of these phone calls if they hang up when I answer?

Maybe just to see if there's actually someone registered to that number : )  That's all I can think of.

They called me twice last week and once today. Not sure who they are but they don't leave messages for me, so it must not be important ;)

Who is the caller? Does anybody know?

I have been getting calls from this number around 11 am every few days and no one is there when I answer. Stopped answering as of today.

they are from gemma communications. it is third party marketing firm from citibank master card.
if you have citibank master card(petro-point, i suppose) you will recieve calls from them , you can choose not to be called. call your mastercard.

calls everyday no message!!

They have been calling me too.  I don't usually answer but I'm getting sick of it and was going to tell whoever was on the other line to take me off their calling list.  But NOBODY was there!!  SO annoying.  These calls should be illegal.

They call me everyday!!

I have been dealing with this number for months!!!! Beyond had it!!!!  Today they actually talked in the background ~ someone is there....I guess they do slip here and there.  It sounded as if he was answering a co-worker or person in their vicinity.  Then, strangely enough another call followed from a secondary number that has been doing the same annoying pattern of display.  And this call (which is an unavailiale # but has the same identifying background music that identifies itself) said hello hello once the music prelude ended.  I am here due to desperation for privacy!

This number doesn't show up as to who is calling in a reverse search. They call at least once a day. I am on the no call registry in Canada. Registered October 7, 2008. Went to re-register and it says that my number is register until Oct 7, 2013. So much for being protected by this waste of tax dollars. My phone rings constantly all day, evenings, and even Sundays with these calls. I don't answer but am really sick of putting up with the ringing. People do sleep and don't want to be bothered. Besides, what is the no call registry for, if not to stop these calls?

Just got a call from this number, seems they just check to see if anyone picks up, probably to harass later.
