Allied Interstate is using this, and SEVERAL other numbers to harass us.
We owe nothing that they say we do, but they still will not stop calling, sometimes 20 times a day.

I have yet to answer these calls, but Allied Interstate calls from another numbers also.  I get calls from them after 9pm and on sundays.  Isnt that illegal? And if so, who do I speak to inregards to this harrassement?  Please let me know. I would love it for them to stop calling my phone.

Original call came from 866-753-3671, only knew the last name of someone who was supposedly in some kind of book club (Wierd and wild?), and after telling them it was not me and may be someone else in the home they asked me to take down this number, 866-235-3868, and have them call.

Certainly is wierd! Calling from a supposed book club, then asking them to call the number for a collection agency?

The person I spoke to was obviously a foreigner, sounded like a pakistany or iranian, ya know, a "[***]".

My husband answered this call while I was at work. They said I owed money to the Discovery Channel Book club and it had been sent to collection agency. I thought it was a charge of my mothers as we had the same name until I got married. I am so glad I saw everyone elses reports on here!

Keep receiving phone calls from this "Out of Area" caller.  When I answer the phone, no one says anything.  They just stay on the line and then hang up the phone.  The calls are a nuisance

Just called this number back.  When the person on the other end answered the phone, it was someone from India.  The person answered the call as Evan Smith.  I proceeded to ask the person what company they worked for.  The person told me "Financial Institution".  I asked why they repeatedly called my number.  He then asked if I was a woman named Tamara Paul.  I replied no and he asked what number I was calling from and I told him.  He asked if a Tamara Paul lived there.  I told him no and that the number his company called was my number and had been for several years.  He apologized and said that they would not call the number again.

This number calls my phone 10+ times every day, from 7am until 10:30pm.  If I don't answer they hang up as soon as the answering machine comes on.  When I do answer they ask for me by my full birth-certificate name that nobody has ever called me in my life, and I say "who is calling please?Then they hang up.  Every single time.  It;s always a different voice but the same number.  And they never tell me what they want.  GRRRRR!

When I answer, there s just silence on the other end. I don't know why they'd be calling--I'm on the "do not call" registry and I don't owe anyone any money.

They keep calling my cell phone and I have no idea how they got this number and ask for different people each time they call.  I keep telling them they have the wrong number and they say they will remove my number from their records and then they call again.  I keep telling them this is a cell phone and it always sounds like a foreigner who does not understand english.  I had one call to the home phone and the person did not understand I was telling them they had the wrong number.  It seems like these are people running some kind of scam to me as they try to get info on the person they are asking for and then when you say wrong number they keep asking questions about the number and people but I won't give them any info because if it's a wrong number why ask about people who you aren't calling for or about.  Just seems fishy.

This number calls all hours of the day, even in the middle of the night.  Sometimes they leave a message to call back, other times not.  When I pick it up often there is just a lot of talking in the background and no one answers, and they hang up; or it is silent and then click.  I have been told I owe for books in some book club I never heard of, nor do I owe for any books. One of the guys, who calls quite often, is very hard to understand.  He does not speak English very well, or clearly.  I have repeatedly told them to stop calling as I know nothing about any books. It stops for a week or so then starts all over again. Also I will get calls from the same number asking for an Alphonso or a Mr.Banks. There is no one at my number by that name and I have told them they have the wrong number.  They apologize and it stops for about one month, and then the calls start all over again. My phone number is on the NO CALL list and it is very annoying that whoever this party is can keep harassing me and I have no way of stopping them.

Calls received all hours of the day and night, seven days a week.  No message ever left on machine.  Just the number on caller ID.  When I answer in person, I hear either silence or the typical background noise of a phone solicitor outfit.  I suggest a shrill whistle into the receiver might be in order.  I certainly plan to use one at my next opportunity.  A drill sergeant's whistle might make their ears stand at attention.

i get numerous calls from this number 866-753-3671 they do not leave a message, and when i do answer the phone they either hang up when i say hello, or they are asking for a person that had this number over 3 years ago when i tried to speak to a supervisor i get transfered to a person that barely speaks english and the one time that i did speak to a supervisor that spoke english and tried to get  it thru their thick skull that this was not the person that they were trying to contact they had the nerve to ask me for my social security number so that they could search their data base to see if i owed them any money

I work from home as a software developer, and this same number has called me 3 times today. I never answer. As soon as my answering machine picks up, they hang up. The Caller ID says "TollFree Number".

Yes I have been getting these calls, not as often, about oweing money to some book club which I have never belonged to. Fortunately my husband who just got back after a year in Iraq would pick up the phone and lets just say I hate to be on the other end of the line. These people go by many names as we have found out after he dialed *69. Don't give them any info

Never joined this bookclub and told them where to stick it. They now have found and old number that I used to live at and are harrassing that person in my name. I want to report this number and find out how to get them shut down for fraud. I have my credit report and it's clean and so this is harrassment.

I called this number and talked to a carpet rider named kevin bond. He told me that I owed 180 dollars to Black expressions and their number is 1-717-918-2665 and so I called that company and they said that someone in san fransisco with my name and utah phone numbers signed up for the club and that I owed them. They called all my numbers that I have ever used or lived at I informed the woman named Jeanne 103 that I would pay for something if I actually signed up and recieved something and will not give one cent for something I never did. She said they didn't use any credit card of mine but I feel like this was a giant phishing scam!! BEWARE!! The woman said the account will be closed and taken care of... we will see. This was never on my credit report so this is bogus and both companies in my oppinion are scam artists!! WATCH OUT!!!

they never leave a message its like why call?

just started getting calls from this number and haven't called them back. Glad I checked here first. As a previous collection agent (I quit since I couldn't take the pressures or tactics expected of me) I know what's legal or not. I know it's illegal to call repeatedly in one day and especially after you tell them to contact you by mail only (sometimes need to put in writing but still they must stop calling by phone). If you can get an address/name of company you can report it to the attorney general in your state and/or you can sue.

Call about 6 times a week. Leaves no message

The calls come in all hours of the day. They never leave a message and if you answer no one says anything. It's very annoying.
