When I answer the phone, I could hear talking in the background but no one was there.  Anyone have an idea who this is??

Its a telemarketing company purportedly selling for a company called "Web Wealth Strategies" Google them for information. Doesn't look good to me. I am on the do not call list, and they called me anyway.

WWS apparently sets up site for you, and you sell mortgages for them. Online Ripoff Reports show missing commission checks, and complaints to the BBB.

They called my cell, left no message.  I am on the do not call list.

They called my cell number. I answered but they didn't speak. I wonder if they use one of those illegal auto dialers?

I noticed an 866 number and figured it was bogus since they were calling my cell phone.  When I answered a guy asked me how I was doing and that he was from "wealth strategies."  I immediately said I was not interested. That's when he said I was a winner and began their marketing spiel. I either accidentally hit a button or we were disconnected.

I get a call from this number every day on my cell. Most of the time the calls come in at around 8:00pm. Today they called my cell at 2:45. How do i make it stop. I'm also on the do not call list

Those !@#$!#^  have now called me 11 times. Each time I tell them not to call, and take me off the list.
The last one asked me "Let me ask you one question, how did those conversations go."

I told him " Exactly the same as this one. Take me OFF your list and stop calling me. Good bye"

Stop calling me, you call 5 times a day and no one answers.  I am on the do not call list.

I get the same thing...a get a call everyday, but do not answer it...its annoying

me too. every day at 11:45, no one is one the other side, i am on the do not call list from a month or so, i have been called at least 25 times. if anyone knows what i can do to end them please let me know

someone/thing from 866-759-4702 called my cellphone. I heard voices then hung up. Later received several calls with a marketing recording, no real person.

If you're not on the Federal Do Not Call list, go ahead and sign up - it seems to have more weight with these telemarketers than the state version.  Website is www.donotcall.gov.  They allow cell phones to be added to the list, I think the state ones are still struggling to get that approved.

Like all the people have said...I am on the DO NOT CALL list however, the keep calling!!

I finally picked up the call from this number.  It has called me roughly 10 times over the past two weeks.  I waited and listened. I got a real voice who introduced himself a Mike.  I asked how he got this number as it was a business cell phone.  His next statement was unbelievable... He literally said... you can not be using this phone as a business phone because you do not have the attitude to be in business and will never be in business.  As I started to respond, he hung up.

I received the first call from this number, on my cell phone on 8-27-08 at around 8:10 PM.
Do you know how I can stop this?  All my phone numbers are on the "Do Not Call Registry."

For some reason, I have been receiving calls from several of these "call me, I answer and then they don't talk to me" outfits. I then go online look up the number and when I come upon a site such as yours with information about these numbers I then save the number on my phone and simply list it as "AXXHOLES". This way, when they call again I see them listed as such and I simply don't answer.
It would be better if I could get on a "never call" list, but as some of the responders here have this and they still receive calls I figure this is the only way not to be bothered by them.

female, pleasant. called during dinner 7:22 p.m. 10/9/08, said she was responding to something that I had done to express an interest in a home based business, was I still interested... Had a program for which I would need to pay about $300. Told her my resources are tied up. Asked her if she could email me something about her company/offer. She said they like to talk with people in person. She then offered me a way to do it for $99. Told her same response. She offered to call me back in a couple of months. I asked what company she was with.  I don't recall exactly, but it was something like a two word name "High Points".
