Some collection agency is calling my work place looking for a person who worked here before me. Everyday I find a message from them. I called back, and a woman promised that the call will stop. I'll report here if the call continue.

I have received several calls from this number, but they never state their business with me. Since I have heard of scams where people try to get your personal identification for ID theft or where they switch your phone over to an internation call and bill you hundreds $$ in long distance charges, I have refused to return their call. When I manage to answer the phone before my answering machine does, they just hang up.  They seem to just want to leave rude recorded messages on my answering machines. I am on the national do not call list and unless I am an established customer of theirs then they are not supposed to be calling my number.

I get the same RUDE message everyday to call this number. They never say why though...??(Strange) Everytime I've called I get put on hold. It's a scam. I'm reporting them to the phone company.

I've received several "threatening" calls from this number as well.  

The call back number on my phone was from somewhere in Missisippi and the gentleman said he was with the Police Dept. and no one called my number from that phone.  Then I called the number left on the message - 866.779.8954.  A young lady answered the phone.  It sound as if I heard a television and children in the background.

When I asked to speak to the people who called she acted as if she didn't know to whom I was referring.  When I told her the number they were calling and how irritating it was, she changed her tone and said that the people were not in the office.  I knew something was "fishy" then.

She asked me my name and location.  I refused to give that to her, but told her that I was not part of any dispute with anyone.  I then proceded to tell her to instruct her people not to call my number anymore and if they did so I would contact the "authorities".  

Hopefully, that was the end of it, and I hoped I wasn't a victim of a phone scam the includes exorbitant phone charges.

That number is for Franklin Collection Agency. I called the number and a woman answered, she said they were looking for a person, who I myself don't know, but that has that has the same last name as me(which I didn't let her know that fact). I just said "I don't know who that is", and she said "okay we'll remove your name from the calling list".  
They must be desperate and calling anyone with the same last name.

Urgent business matter requiring you to call back by the end of the day, this is not a telemarketer calling.

Got a call from this and it was an automated message with a man telling me to call.  I have no idea who it is and what matter this is pertaining to.  I don't have anything in collections either.

I have received MANY calls from this number asking for someone that I do not know with the same last name as me. I actually received 1 call telling me to press 1 if I was this person, I pressed 1 and blasted the operator that answered. I will get a whistle and blow it in the phone next time. I have no debt and pay cash for everything so I know it is not a call for me. They kept playing a background message while I was on hold asking me to have my credit card number or checking account number ready so I could pay this debt. It must be a scam!

LEFT MESSAGE IN ANSWERING MACHINE AND SAID IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT THAT I CALL BACK AND SPEAK WITH KAY. THEY ALSO SAID THIS WAS NOT A TELEMARKETER.

I got the same message today. I won't be calling the number back. I don't know Kay, or have any urgent business or anything in collections.

This number keeps calling and when I called back the operator said since this was an office they could not tell who the call was for and therefore could not remove the number from the list. She proceeded to name off a few people who work here that her agency is supposed to be collecting from...isn't that illegal? Wouldn't a legitimate collection company know that?

Yup!  A man ("Mr. Weaver")left a message to call that number at x1838.  Said he had an urgent message for someone with my same last name.  He said to call back that day.  I have no idea who the person who shares my last name is.  Unfortunalely I accidently erased the msg & CID info while fumbling with the buttons to replay it.  I did not call back.  I will post here again if/when they do.  But I hope they don't!  They really seem to be relentless callers for some of you.  I agree they are either fishing and hope they get lucky, or they are scamming.

Some girl called here at work wanting to verify employment, so I was going to take a message and give it to the Manager, she asked who I was, i said the secretary, she ask for my name, I gave her some other name to see what she would say and she said that she thinks she has the wrong number and would recheck the numbeer and if it was right, she would call back. Have not heard back.

Yep, I get a voice mail message from "Kaye" who is "not a telemarketer" every couple of days.  I just delete the message.

i keep getting this it seems like every day and it says "hi this is kay in regards to a very important business matter" i dont know what to do though.

these folks needs to be reported to the phone company and FCC.  I have researched this and like others get calls every day.  I finally called the people back and told them they were being reported. The lady begged me not to report them and she'd remove my number.  It's too late...

Automated system not informing why  they are calling, please discontinue these people from calling

I got many, many calls from "Kaye", too.  I never took them.  Recently, however, a different, more threatening message from a man was left saying (almost verbatim, We have tried on several occasions to contact.  You need to call this number back as soon as possible in order to take care of this matter.  (I liked Kaye's message much better).  So the next time dear sweet Kaye called, I called back (866-779-8954) from my phone at work.  "FCS can I help you". "Yeah, you can take my name off your list so your robot will quit calling me!  My number is ###########." Then she startled me by asking is this Donna #####?" Well, Donna is a coworker, but this told me they have an intricate system.  Our phone system should have only showed her our main number, and Donna is not tied to it, so how they were able to extract her name....? So, when I told her I was not Donna, she gave another name.  I told her no.  She then asked, You don't know who this is?  I said "No this is me and not her nor anybody else and...."Well, we just have the wrong number, no problem...<<<click>>>! So, I HAD to call back.  Sure enough, same woman.  I yelled, "I'm sorry, WRONG NUMBER!!!!<<<CLICK>>>!
