Is this a marketing company #?

I got a call from this number but nobody responded when I answered.

Did not recognize # so didn't answer.

This appears to be a the number for CareCall, a company which conducts health assessments on behalf of medical insurance providers.  The company does not appear to be a telemarketer.

Didn't answer.

866-781-3989 = caller id = 800 Service = well, if this is from a legitimate company then why don't they leave a message?  Too much trouble?  Then why does every company make you go through a lengthy robot assisted entry requiring all sorts of personal information and then you have to start over when you actually get a human on the line?  ugh...if this was legitimate then they would at the very minimum leave a message and/or call back number...when they do that then I will answer, otherwise this is just another blocked call for me....

If you don't recognize the name or number, DON'T answer, DON'T call back. If you get a caller ID "Microsoft" DON't bother answering it. They are trying to tell you that they detected some error messages and they can show you. DON't

The call came on 2/19/15 , from "800 Service- 1-866-781-3989 at 12:10 P.M. No Message left. I did not bother to answer.

It is Aetna, likely calling to do a Health Interview of an insured.
I am not insured by Aetna so I refused to give them any information.  The rep insisted I was an Aetna Medicare Member.
I called back & the rep that answered tried to tell me that it was "open-enrollment" and that is why they were calling me --- NOT!  If that's why they were calling me they were violating BOTH the no-call law & the TCPA.  Plus taht is not why the initial caller stated he was calling me.
I asked for a supervisor since talking to a peon is about usless.
The supervisor asked my name & I verified my phone number.  I refused to provide date of birth or other personal info.  The supervisor tells me he has place my phone number & my address on the no contact list.

The number is legitimate, in that it does belong to Aetna Insurance.  I believe it's their outgoing line for all calls, including marketing calls.  So, if you're insured by Aetna you should probably at least find out why they're calling; it could be about something important.

Calls everyday and never leaves a message.

3rd party survey company for health insurance companies doing surveys. Don't give any info! They don't encrypt responses and neither does the insurance company. God only knows where ones personal info will end up.

I answered once and didn't get an ans.

They call 2-3 times a day.

Do not recognize phone number. Since I pay for incoming calls, I do not answer calls from unknown callers.

This is a legitimate co. conducting a health screen for Aetna Insurance. They just ask 6 or 7 general questions.  Aetna instructed them not to leave a message, I was told. I googled to find out who they were and called them back.

called left no message, I called back an they want to have me answer questions about my health for Aetna, I said I don't give personal info over the phone, and asked why they don't leave a message and was told they aren't allowed, I said then don't call again, it's been a week an so far no calls.

Then why wouldn't at least leave a message, bad marketing!

I called them back because I used to have Aetna. That's exactly who they are. The lady who answered, once she realized I no longer had Aetna, she apologized and stated they would not be calling anymore. She was very polite. I think it's just a insurance they are doing, as a part of Medicare .....so if you used to have Aetna, and Medicare....that's all it is. They are trying to improve Aetna standards for Medicare. No red light warning. Just a survey.😀

This number is apparently a "survey" done for the purpose of Aetna insurance. My wife and I have already spoken with them but the calls just keep coming from them even after you've spoken to them. Sounds like fraud to me.
