This number is for the GMAC public relations department. More or less wanting to know if you were satisfied with your salesman that you spoke with while test driving, just looking or actually purchasing one of their automobiles.  The call goes directly to voice mail after it rings and tells you to hold for the next available representative, one comes on the phone and she will let you know that you were at a specific dealership and want to know about your experience and treatment.

In the past three days I have received 7 calls from this number on my cell..some at 2:00 am

Are u sure its GMAC? I did not buy a car from them... why would they not leave a message... i inherited my phone number from someone who did not pay their bills... and i get crazy creditor calls... im thinking this is one...

i've gotten a few calls a day from this number for the past week or so and there's never anyone on the other end when I answer.

I received a call and did not answer.I didn't know who was calling. I did recently visit a GMC dealership. I agree with the person above,leave a message and next time I'll answer or will return the call at my convenience and participate in your survey, otherwise GMC you are wasting your time.

I received numerous calls from them as well.  But I ended up calling the number just to see where it led to and it turned out to be a customer survey for customer satisfaction on a recently purchased vehicle.  They mention that they are calling on behalf of the dealership to follow up on your experience.

I got a follow up call from a Volvo dealer I test drove a car at, it appears to be an outbound telemarketing/customer satisfaction survey company that is subcontracted by car dealers.

I have gotten 3 or 4 calls from them in the past couple days. Usually it is at about 9:45pm. I never answer my phone if I do not recognize the number and will not call back since they never leave a message. Glad I found this page and these responses.

I just received a call from this number.   I didn't answer it, since I didn't recognize the number.  Yes, it might have been from a car dealership.  I took my car in for repairs last week at Champion Toyota in Austin, TX.  I'm glad I did a reverse phone # lookup, and read all previous messages.

I just recently purchased a car...this number has called me today and yesterday. Never leaves a message and when I call back the automated voice tell me to "HOLD" for the next operator!

Yeah same here. Went to Charles Maund Toyota in Austin, TX. Customer service satisfaction survey. I finally answered after getting a phone call every day, twice a day, for the past week.

We went and test drove a few cars this past weekend. They have call my cell phone at lease twice day from this number. I did anser the phone twice. They told me they were calling from a dealership I test drove a car from.They ask me if I wanted to take a survey. I said no and ask them not to call me back. Again this happen twice they are still calling me. I don't know how to get them to stop. Is this what happens when you just go and test drive a car???? Gees!!!

How do I prevent these calls?

For the first time in 9 years, I went on test drives (at two different dealerships).  The next day, I get a call from this number.  I didn't answer it.  I'm glad to read other people's experiences about test drives.  Will I have to start giving out a fake phone number every time I test drive a car??

Dealership survey

I don't think it's GMAC my call came from a Toyota dealership but it is a survey.

I'm so glad that I came to this site! Cleared up the mystery...I just got my car back from an oil change at a Toyota dealership and I'm sure that it's  a customer survey...I'm not going to answer and hope that they give up at some point.  This exact same thing happened when I purchased my car...five calls a day from same number--I never answered and I"m sure it was the same thing...Looks like many dealerships use the same survey company...Now we know...thanks so much.

It is a call center that is contracted to check dealer/salesperson satisfaction. They work for many different auto brands and dealers.

I've been getting this call off and on for the past 11 days.  If it goes to voicemail it disconnects... if I answer, it disconnects... what's the point of this??  
I, too, test drove a vehicle at a TOYOTA dealership around the time this started.

It's becoming a real pain in the a**

I just got a call. Answered, waited for 20 seconds, and nothing!! Come on...fix your computer/phones if you're going to be calling people!

We just purchased a vehicle from a FORD dealership. I'm assuming that's why they're calling. Oh boy, I bet my husband can't wait to give his opinions! lol
